Chimney cleaning and liner installation. Easy to work with, extremely fair price…read more Job was completed quickly and cleanly.

I needed a chimney stone façade and crown sealed to stop water intrusion. It measures roughly 5 x 2…read moreby 5.5 ft. It is easily accessible on a low pitch roof. The owner came out, looked it over, recommended scraping the grout and crown down to clean material and applying sealant. He mentioned stone work is tough to work on. I asked roughly how long the job would take. Though a specific number was not provided I was left with the clear impression it would be about half a day or so. This was similar to another quote I received for two workers. His quote was $1200 for labor and materials. I estimated materials at between $150 and $300. Giving benefit of the doubt, $300 materials leaves $900 for four hours work, or about $225/hr. Seemed a little high but good enough since he could do it in a week or so. He arrived on time and completed the job. I had to be away during the work. My adult son home at the time sent me a text when he arrived and when he left. It was 1 hr and 8 minutes. That is almost $800/hr. I know the price was set by the job. But, it was not difficult, complicated, or unusual. His time estimate should have been much better. I would not have selected his quote if I had any idea it would be so quick. I would have solicited more quotes. We spoke and the best he would do was $800, $440/hr. Still pretty expensive. Get detailed quotes on labor and materials!

Horrible experience! Cancelled our first appointment because he "couldn't find" his guy then…read morerescheduled for a Sunday. They "cleaned" our chimney in Oct. We started burning in our wood stove the last week of Nov. As of Jan 2nd the pipe from the stove to the chimney was beyond stuffed with creosote. We called them because there was no way for it to have gotten that bad in 1.5 months of burning good seasoned wood. When they finally showed up the man came in with a huge attitude blaming us for not knowing how to use the stove and burning bad wood. We showed him what we had and he said "That looks like good hard wood but you must not have burned this" They obviously did not do their job in the first place or my chimney wouldn't have looked as it did. Bad customer service and after the way I was treated I would never let that man back into my home or of friends and family.

Don't bother calling these folks. They won't show up for scheduled appointments or call to tell you…read morewhy they aren't showing up. Called them to have a Chimney cap installed. Showed up on first and only visit without the needed cap. Since then had to follow up with them to reschedule and they did not show up on the next 3 scheduled appointments, Supposed to come out 10/30 but instead received a call that day saying they would be out 11/8. No show on 11/8. Had to call them again since they weren't considerate enough to call me. I was told they would be out on 11/8. Again, no call and no show. Called them on 11/12 to be told that they had delays getting the cap in stock (really, a chimney company can't source a Chimney cap?) and I would get a call that night with a new date. Guess what, no one called. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere when looking for Chimney service. If my experience is what you get dealing with this place then you are better off.
