We brought in our recently adopted puppy to get her nails trimmed and were wow'd by how wonderfully and professionally it was done. I wish we'd gotten the name of the woman who did it. We called ahead and spoke with her on the phone to ask if we could just come in for a quick nail trim for our puppy (today is Thursday, February 19th) and she said she could trim our puppy's nails if we came in before noon today and we were so beyond relieved she was able to (our puppy was originally a stray and has major anxiety to the point where our vet wasn't even able to trim her nails). First time dog owner here and I admittedly had no idea what I was doing. I have a 8 month old pitbull mastiff. Today during a busy work from home day my dog decided to splash in muddy puddles and he was also in need of a nail trim. I called ahead of time to check the hours of availability and when I told them my dogs breed they were very knowledgeable about how living pit bulls are. This put be at ease. I apprehensively (because my dog is just a puppy and gets hyper in public) came in mid-afternoon and was greeted by the most pleasant and understanding employees. The owner was amazing. I honestly was so grateful for her help. She showed me how to use the washing components and even helped me lift my big puppy dog into the bath. I was checked on and helped multiple times and offered various shampoos for my use. I was overwhelmed but she was always within earshot for help. My puppy never has had his nails trimmed and it surprisingly went smooth all because of her experience and method. I was so embarrassed because my puppy was the most obnoxious of the quiet dogs getting services but they never ever made me feel bad. They loved on my dog and gave him many treats. Unfortunately, the new owners are charging astronomical rates, doing a separate charge for the blow dry that you do yourself. We asked for nail clipping as well and somehow the whole total amounted to $74. And I had to help with the nail clipping anyway! For that price, you might as well go to a groomer so that they can do it all for you. They charge extra because they have to vacuum dog hair? Shit...I'd vacuum myself to save that money! This is an awesome small business in the Orchards area Vancouver, WA. It is a great place to give your best friends a bath or a trim This is a DIY business so be ready to get a little wet when fido shakes himself dry. The location has 8 or so wash stations and about 5 drying stations. Each was station is set up with a water hose and 4 shampoo selections. To activate the shampoo simply turn the knob on dial. The shampoo will shoot out through the hose as you run the water. Once the wash in complete you can rinse and apply conditioner. After rinsing that off you can towel dry and the take your pet to the drying stations to blow some of that water off your pet. Don't forget to spray them with cologne as you walk out to give them that extra smell. They also offer nail trimming, hair grooming, and other services. The staff is really nice and very helpful. I used to go here all the time. Sadly like a lot of things, change is not always good. I wish I did not wonder each time I walk in if today was going to be a good experience or not. Today was not, again. At times it is fine. Last time, I had multiple dogs and they made room for them in the pen area taking the dogs out that were just running loose in there. So kind. I tipped and showed my appreciation trying to not make a big mess. Today, I felt nobody could be bothered. It is how I felt. I am standing there thinking, okay you are washing one dog at a time in the cage area which is for multiple dog washing. I have three. So, I think I can wait or come back. I asked if I could reserve or let me know when to return, no help. Shrugs his shoulders at me. Then he told me to wash in the tubs. You have one dog in the pen area which is for multiple dogs but you think I can wash three in a tub by myself? Not to mention there were a lot of dogs running around. I just turned around and left. Wow. I will wash them at home. Really wish the service was better and consistent. For the prices especially. Though I do not mind tipping and paying for a service. I wish I did not have to wonder what today will be like and what is happening that will make me innvisiable. We were greeted by the owners on a Sunday morning, who walked us through the process and showed us their hydraulic tubs, four different choices of shampoos, cream rinse for shedding, face wash, and pads/witch hazel to clean their ears. There were several different levels of dryer systems and they offered ear "muffs" to go over our dog's ears while they were drying. They had an array of brushes for us to use and even indulged us because we needed his nails clipped and didn't have an appointment. They were happy to oblige! My wife called in and requested that our dog get her nails trimmed. On the way there she also wanted to see if our dog could get a sanitation cut. But she blames it on her husband saying he's the one that messed up? Then she says that we have to come back tomorrow? What? Why? How? Just tell me you can't help us today. I was a regular at another Vancouver self-serve Dog wash until it burnt down recently - leaving me wondering where I'd wash my pup in he mean time. Muddy Paws had great reviews and indeed the staff was friendly and helped show my partner and I the ropes. Parking was abundant as it's in a lot with what I believe used to be an Albertson's which is closed. Walking in the staff greeted us with smiles and questions if we knew how it works. We told them it was our first time and one of the three gals working there stopped what she was doing to show us how the system works. Pretty snazzy system! Your dog gets into the tub that has an up/down button on the outside. It easily lifts/lowers the tub with your pup in it to a height that's comfy for you. There's neck loops with clips in different locations around the tub (the clip locations are like a pool table: left corner, left middle, etc) and make it easy to position your pup. The gate slides close behind your dog so they don't escape, much nicer than some other gated systems I've used. The facility has shampoos, conditioners, towels, and scrub tools as well as a drying, nail clip, and combing station for after. Standard shampoo and conditioner is supplied at the station by a car wash like system (VERY COOL!!) where you select the soap and then just pull the hose trigger and Boom! A mix of water and your soap of choice. Shampoos they had when I went: face/puppy/gentle shampoo, shampoo for white dogs, shampoo for black dogs, oatmeal shampoo (itchy). They also had ear cleaner and conditioner at the stations. You can ask for more shampoos if you need (they have flea and tick and more). We used the face shampoo, oatmeal, and conditioner and my gal turned out luxuriously soft and it was really quick. My partner commented that the "building felt happy", which I don't really understand, but I think it means our family will be coming back for more washes on the future! They also have a punch card rewards program for frequent users and I've heard they have a holding pen if you've got more than one Fido in your life. The guy using the booth behind me brought in two dogs (small terriers) and washed them at once in the roomy tubs. Great, great staff and really snazzy setup. read more

The website says they close at 6:30 but the voicemail (you can't actually talk to anyone) said they are open until 7, last bath at 6:30.
