It's basically a freshly fried, slightly sweet dough sprinkled with sugar. It was served warm and was light and crispy on the outside while still soft inside. Definitely one of the better things I tried on our food tour! The place itself is very small, but part of the experience is being able to watch them making and frying everything fresh right through the glass window. That was really neat to see, especially knowing ours had just been made. I can't speak to the other items they offer since we didn't try them, but I would absolutely stop back for another Schmalznudel. Simple, fresh, warm and really good!

I was also able to get a Coke Zero for less than €3. Any where else in the park or city would've costed close to €5 which wouldn't have been worth it. I rested my legs on the bar seating area and did some people watching. I wish I grabbed some more baked goods to go ;-)

Just today i just wanted some iced coffee (black) but instead got an iced latte (wich is as far of from black coffee as you can get). The location is small but cosy, yet the staff seems severely undertrained, for which i don't hold them accountable for, as this is clearly a management issue. If your just around for a Donut, go ahead, they are always good (wich leads me to giving this place 2 Stars). But if you just want some coffee, as of this time, i can only recommend to go somewhere else.

Wozu gibt es dann dieses Backpapier bei jedem Donut? Wie wäre es, einfach nur mit einem Finger das Backpapier anzufassen und den Donut zu verschieben? Diese Uneinsichtigkeit ist erschreckend, und ich will nicht wissen, welche anderen Sachen hier derart unhygienisch behandelt werden. Ich gehe nicht mehr zu Rewe - nach dieser Erfahrung.

As a result, many people jump ahead to the far cashiers while others are stuck waiting in the longer line for the cashier in front. A little more organization could alleviate a lot of confusion there.

I liked the Boston Creme, BavarianCreme, and Strawberry Banana....they were pretty yummy. However, other than maybe the Boston Creme donut, all of the other popular types I know and love were nowhere to be found. I get it....maybe people just want brightly colored donuts like pink, green or blue with sprinkles and the tiniest squirt of some gel filling. However, I would prefer to have my big fat powdered Dunkin Donuts crammed full of chocolate creme. Dmytro is right. There are other donut joints in town that a pretty good, so I wouldn't go out of your way to come here, and I certainly wouldn't expect a REAL DD donut. And yea, that ordering scheme has got to go! I felt like I was at the Kreisverwaltungsreferat! ughhh! :(

The largest bier garten in the world…read more.. While Hofbrau Haus gets all the attention in München, the Koniglicher Hirschgarten is a must stop when visiting, especially if staying on the West end... Known for its 8K seat wooded bier garten, KH is all things Bavarian. It's frequented by locals and some tourists, but English is still widely spoken. KH offers several types of local biers (the best being Augustiner, according to locals), a huge Bavarian menu (the food was good, but not great), and enough space where you don't feel crammed and your personal space violated. We visited on a Saturday night during Oktoberfest, and while it was busy, there were still tons of open seats. The cool thing about KH is they have a full-service seated area and also a self-serve area too where you can choose from different food and bier stand options. We elected for the full-service, which was good, but the server was a bit rushed based on it being an Oktoberfest Saturday night. All-in-all, great authentic Bavarian experience though. If you like the Oktoberfest vibes, but don't want to deal with the rowdiness and drunken debauchery, KH is the place to go when visiting Munchen.

My wife and I were in Munich, Germany for five days and my friend recommended this neighborhood…read morebeer garden. It was HUGE! My wife said they have the best pretzel she has ever had. The Germans eat pretzels like crazy. (They even put mayonnaise on their fries. Yucch.) My wife stood in line for about 30 minutes for a whole mackerel fish, I am glad she did, it was delisch! There are a few beer stands and they serve great Helles beer, I loved this place. There were at least two thousand people enjoying their friends and drinking beer at this beer garden. You have to go. We visited the concentration camp and it is a quick stop on the way back to the train station at Munich.
