Tried to use their website to book an appointment. Went through all the steps then when they asked if you wanted to get e-mails from them and select "yes" or "no" there were no selection boxes available for either selection and the booking process would not complete. If you're going to charge $35.00 for a haircut and request a tip on the website before even delivering a service to the customer maybe you should make sure your website is functional. If this happened while just trying to book a haircut appointment it doesn't give a very good first impression. Hopefully, they already have a good repeat customer base and are not interested in adding new customers. With their current web based process looks like adding new customers is going to be difficult. read more

It was my first time at Mug and Brush and I have been looking for a good barber/barbershop, so naturally, I was a little nervous, hoping that whoever got me would do me right. I got Greg and he's super cool, the haircut was quick and from the moment he started I didn't have any doubt that it would look good. He cut it almost exactly like the picture I showed him AND cleaned up the back of my neck with a straight razor, with precision I must say. Overall, 10/10, great experience, I will be going back, and I recommend to anybody in need of a good, quick haircut. read more

Y'all, I been looking forward to getting my first hair cut at The Mug and Brush for over a week now. I walked there, and arrived a couple minutes before my appointment, walked in and nobody EVER acknowledged me. I saw the bank of seating so I went over and sat, and one of the other stylists asked another gentleman if he was waiting on a particular stylist, and the gentleman said no, and he was waiting on his ride, but the stylist didn't acknowledge me, and proceeded to his hair to look at his phone. I proceeded to sit there for 10 minutes while another stylist watched tv in his chair, and the other stylists were with clients, all while my anxiety ramped up because, well, anxiety. I walked outside and waited a few more minutes, and finally just walked back home. I know this is partly on me and go ole anxiety, but I've literally NEVER gone for any service and not even been acknowledged with a "Good Morning" or at least "who are you here to see. read more

I've been searching for a good barber in Hendersonville, NC for about three years. Tried several in H-ville, then to Mills River and Etowah. FINALLY, someone who knows what a 'regular' haircut is, and followed my directions to the letter. Relaxing, clean store, friendly barbers, no pfoof, no fluff, just a good haircut. The barbers here are incredible. The price is fair and there's never been a long wait. My husband got a great cut and beard trim. My toddler also got a great cut. Greg did an amazing job with him and was so patient. We will definitely be coming back here often for haircuts! read more

This is a legit barbershop. Cool chairs, manly decor, little bit of smack talking, hot lather on the neck and around my ears....... And a fade like none other. Done free hand without guards because the guys are legit! They take credit cards but bring cash. $20 will cover your haircut and a generous tip. Good good good stuff!! read more

This is barbering the way barbering was meant to be! Everyone here cuts good hair, so that is not an issue at all. The real talent comes from the shaves you get. I shave with a straight razor as well as a double edge safety razor and there's definitely a technique to correctly shaving with *any* razor at all. These guys do it right with hot towels, facial oil, and a good, hot lather made for quality shaving. I love going by and taking a break from my regular routine. It's almost like a spa day for men!
