This is a great bar, with great staff and community on the inside. They had live music on Friday night and a variety of "games" to play. Plenty of room if you want to take a spot and his out. Or enjoy the "smoker deck" as well as outside yard area. I went as a single lady - alone - and had fun all night. Clean, Legit, and nothing like the bad reviews on here. The food is expensive and the drinks are expensive. It's always super busy there after 5 o'clock. The service is OK but a lot of shitty things happen there so I wouldn't suggest going there if you're trying to have a calm night because this one's gonna be crazy busy and loud they do have bands every so often on the weekends, which is kind of nice, but sometimes you find some really shady characters there that come into that bar so if you're coming here for the first time, I wouldn't suggest going there after 5 o'clock read more

If you do not have an Alaska ID, you should not come here. While on vacation, I stopped here for a quick drink. The bartender asked for my ID, which I provided. Ten minutes went by, and she never returned. I finally got up and approached her to remind her I was there (despite it being an empty bar). She notified me I can leave and never come back. I asked for my ID back, and she refused, stating that I had given her a fake ID. Now, I'm traveling. I need my ID to legally drive my rental car, to check into various activities I had booked on this trip, and to even fly home. She essentially held me captive there for about an hour until I could get ahold of the police to come down. The police ran my name/ID and inspected it. They notified the bar tender that it was in fact a real ID and she needed to return it to me. She offered no apology and the officer asked me if I would join him outside. He said the bar has been having lots of problems lately and it's better if I took my business elsewhere. He apologized on behalf of the town and wished me a better rest of my vacation. What a horrible way to treat someone who was simply looking to support a local business. It's clear the bartender was on some type of substance and the owner is clearly clueless. read more

This place only has 5 stars because of the flies that frequent it. if youre looking for a bar that has a dog whining in the bar area, terrible service, a rude and ignorant bartender, and the smell of pee this is the place. if that isn't what you like then go to the several bars with much nicer lighting, friendly bartenders, and actual music all around Wasilla. My friend Richard insisted we stop by the Mug Shot for a quick beer on the way up to Talkeetna. Two hours later we didn't want to leave...but had to. The bartender Bonnie and the regulars quickly made us feel like family. Bonnie made the best Bloody Mary ever! We'll definitely make time to stop in for another on the way back to Anchorage! read more

Didn't know what to expect in this tiny town, and was impressed by this lovely little gem. Had a fun time listening to the live band play, play a game of pool, and jam out to the jukebox. Very spacious. Nice back patio. Service was fine. Patrons were friendly. Had a great night. read more

They take your drinks after you pay them, let's say you go out for a smoke and come back to your drink it's gone. And their excuse id they are not liable fyour drink. 6.50 does beer on tap this is ridiculous pricing, honestly don't spend your hard earned money here place fucking sucks. read more

Great place for an older crowd. Live bands every weekend. Little known fact they have the best pizza in Wasilla from their kitchen. Me and my wife usually go once a month. read more
