The mannequin in the window right now is wearing a Miss Claus outfit, which is a bit out of season. They do quite a lot of fancy dress gear and wigs, mainly at Halloween and Xmas but they always have a few bits and bobs kicking about. They also have a photocopier, which is 5p per sheet. They do a good juice selection, and sell Rubicon, a tropical fruit flavoured fizzy juice which you can't really get anywhere else except from abroad. Like I said, it is a bit random when it comes to stock! They also hilariously sell copies of Cd's which stand shamelessly on a spinney stand outside the shop. It's always odd ones they have like Now 13 and Macy Gray's first album. God knows how they get away with it.

If you are looking for a toy and Toys R Us doesn't sell it, it probably doesn't exist! The store is divided into toys for girls, boys, babies and preschool children. There is also the games wall where you'll find all manner of board games and jigsaws. I am a big fan of the construction wall which consists of a plethora of lego and meccano type toys which would keep kids and adults amused for hours! There are also multimedia toys such as Wii and PS3 games and Hannah Montana TV sets. I love the Universe of Imagination section in Toys R Us also which contains learning toys such as leapfrog computers and arts and crafts. Toys R Us also has a good selection of kids and adults bikes which they can build for you in the shop. Although most of the Babies R Us stand alone stores have closed down the Toys R Us store on Helen Street contains a Babies R Us department within it. This sells cots, buggies, breast pumps, all sorts! Be warned, if you take your kids into this store they may never let you leave!

I'm not really down with the kids in terms of new game releases which is why I've been playing a game that's now 4 years old. And I'm slow - I only just finished it. I heard about another game, The Last Of Us and though that sounded like something I could get into now that I have an LA Noire-shaped-void in my life. Graeme steered us here while at the Fort to "have a look" at the games which inevitably led to a purchase. They have a second-hand/pre-owned section where you might be able to pick up a sweet deal on the game you're looking for - we picked it up for £17.99 whereas it's on Amazon for £22 new. We also grabbed a copy of Heavy Rain, a game I've not heard of but he assures me that I'll like. Service was helpful and friendly, with some light banter thrown in. I didn't look around too much as I was pretty overwhelmed by the section of Lego PS3 titles, but they also sell some cute toys and stuff here too which is a great addition to any gamer guy/gal's Christmas stocking.

The stock is filled with all the basic run of the mill newsagent products. The prices and just as you'd expect to pay for these products in these products in a newsagent. Meanwhile, the staff offer mediocre greetings and services. So, it's alright if you want to pop in for one or two basics and this is the handiest place for it. Otherwise, I'd prefer to go elsewhere with a little bit more character and/or a wider range of stock including some more unusual items.

The staff are usually friendly and they are good at giving their opinion on what games are good at the moment. If your lucky you'll grab a bargain, usually deal of the week can save you some money on the newer games that are out at the moment. However I have usually found if you shop around you may find what your looking for cheaper elsewhere.

The store is laid out fairly well though at times can seem a bit cluttered. Staff and friendly and helpful though at times there aren't enough on the tills. The toy section although small does stock a variety of toys from dolls, to games to trucks. The prices are not too bad considering it is one of the only places to get toys in the town. At the rear of the shop they stock a good selection of cards for the size of the shop along with cd's which are quite expensive but again your paying local prices. The manager can be a bit funny though not ha ha way either, keeping an eye on customers in a suspicious way and it is not just me that has noticed this. It would probably help if she would smile.
