There are outdoor tables under trees & umbrellas to linger with your coffee or brunch, as well as plenty of indoor tables. The quality of the food, both from the menu or the counter, is pretty high, and you can get a wide range of both food & drinks; organic, healthy, alcoholic, deep-fried - all tastes are catered for. Unfortunately you will pay top dollar & should also be prepared to wait a while. The staff are pretty laid back & when there's a breakfast or lunch rush, they don't seem to have any systems in place to cope. We have had a hot freshly cooked meal arrive at our table before a simple croissant from the counter! Having said that, if you don't mind waiting & paying, the food that we have eaten as well as seen served at other tables is pretty delicious - definitely one of Gisborne's better establishments.

Lots of seating inside, with photographs of the local views (gorgeous as they are!) displayed on the walls (and for sale). There are also a number of street-side tables perfect for people watching and traffic spotting on a nice day! That didn't phase the staff though -- they recognised our hunger and offered us a reduced menu, and were even happy to rustle up some bespoke toasted sandwiches and tailored meals. The restaurant is fully licensed, and there is parking right outside; you can watch boats bobbing in the marina through the large glass windows, and you could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine on a nice day.
