SUPER difficult... there are only 3 places in the state of Ohio that are listed online as not only Seed Safe... but Monsanto free. The prices are so amazingly cheap... the same or less than the average garden center for non-organic you wouldn't believe me if I told you... head to their web page... click over to their Facebook page (Yelp doesn't allow direct FB links) and see the discussion of today's events. Gallon pots of tomatoes... not many... but I showed up right at 9 am and lucked out... dozens and dozens of varieties of the "normal" size containers you can get elsewhere... not only a plethora of tomatoes... but hot peppers... herbs...and the lettuce!! Let me tell you about the lettuce... the cutest little sample packs in the world... 6 tiny plants of 2 leaf lettuce and 1 kale variety... just perfect to rotate harvests with the "normal" size seedlings. They participate in the Norwalk Farmer's Market.. .and even had some jam on hand for sale. This was a 150 mile round trip for me... maybe I'll make it back later in the season when my lettuce is gone... sure wish they were closer!!

At least have the basic human decency of keeping it to yourself. It's a shame considering I would've liked the place itself if not for experiencing such lewd and racist rhetoric by one of its workers. But oh well. It's a little town me and my fiancee visited just to get outta dodge for the weekend. We were debating if we should go out to eat for the night or if we should stop by the grocery and grab some stuff for the airbnb and stay in. Decided on the grocery so stopped here due to the intriguing name! I've never seen a grocery & hardware store in one! I wasn't too hopeful, but .... the grocery part was actually very impressive! This little place almost has everything you could want! It has deli type packaged foods and produce on the way in, drinks to the right (including alcohol) snacks and chips n' such in the middle then fridged packaged meats to the back right and more drinks to the back. We ended up grabbing a bunch of stuff and having a decent night in! Prices were pretty ok and selections were pretty ok! Found a little clearance rack in teh back that had some pork rines and bugles, among some others, which were a great find! REALLY cheap clearance, which is awesome! The older checker lady was so sweet and such a quaint pleasure to encounter compared to the usual busy non-chalant city associates I'm used to. I DEF feel like if we visit this area again we'll be wanting to stop at this cute little place again! :P
