My boyfriend and I were on our way to our hotel around 9pm when we saw a line to this place, so we definitely had to go over and try it. Definitely glad we did! It's an outdoor ice cream shack with good parking and a limited amount of outdoor seating. They close at 10pm, turning the lights off if you're still outside munching. They have a diverse treats menu (some savory options too) at affordable prices. We ended up ordering soft serves (mix of chocolate and vanilla) on cones. Note that they don't have the hard scoop ice cream and the there are only three soft serve flavors with options to mix them. They were tasty and the portions were good too! With the nature of the local weather and environment, there were a lot of little flies and spiders around, but mainly around the shack itself and the surrounding fence, so they shouldn't interfere with you while eating. We had this place recommended to us by relatives so when we were in town we figured we had to try it! As soon as we got there, the line was very long and we could tell it was a local favorite. They had sandwiches and things, but we only got ice cream. We tried the blue raspberry slush, the mango ice cream scoop, the fluffernutter sundae, the strawberry shortcake sundae, and the chocolate sundae. The mango was by far the best! Wow! Try the Nut Classic; a sundae as old as time itself --that's why it's a classic! Try the footlong dog grilled. I like kraut (good fer digestion) & mustard & onions. Damn....it's legit with a grilled bun too & ample mounds (yes, plural on mound!) of kraut! Fries are hot & delicious. Owners & staff are kind, courteous, & their pride shows in the food they serve. This is a must stop on the way home from Cedar Point if you live in The Land. After visiting Nickel Plate Beach we went here. It has an old school look. This has a big window. Order at the front after waiting in line. There of course is lines but it wasn't busy the last time. Even when it was hot. You get lucky here some times. It has a good selection of ice cream. They even have Dole Whip. It's about $3 for a medium cup. They give you a generous amount for it. They have good signage up regarding social distancing and are trying their best to make customers follow best practices. The soft serve ice cream is thin, watery, and flavorless; the portions are small; the service is slow; and the workers aren't very nice.
