Been shopping at Muldoon's for about a year or so now, and i've yet to have a bad experience. Every single time i go in i'm quickly greeted by staff and some even know me by name which is a very nice touch. Staff is always very professional, well dressed, and well informed. The tailors are very knowledgeable and probably the most talented tailors in the greater Eau Claire area to my knowledge. Very good selection, nice customer service, but poor value. All the suits are cheap synthetic fabrics, mass produced abroad for very little. It's about the same quality you get at men's warehouse but the suits here are almost double the price. The suits should be in the $100-$300 dollar range but many were in the $300-$600 range. Very poor value, would recommend men's warehouse for similar lower/entry level quality but at a much cheaper price. read more

First , let's be clear ...I prefer to shop local and this is a long term local men's haberdashery. I wouldn't call it up scale but better menswear . The store is a sad little aging strip mall on a busy road They must get a deal on rent cuz it's kind of creepy old. Decent parking. They have lots of stuff crammed in. Great selection of hats . Kind of old school menswear....throw backs. Wool solid sweaters and vests. Dress clothes including suits and suit separates. Dress and sport shirts. Some good better brands too. So your going to pay a bit more but it's going to hold up. Now...I'm going to try to be generous here. But they have a service problem. They have a young man there to be honest....he shouldn't be in sales or service. He's aloof and borderline rude. I went in recently and he's just not engaged. Not to say he doesn't know his product but he didn't impress me as someone who wanted me to feel valued or even welcome as a customer. I could get into the gory details but I won't. But I will say if you want to stay in business ...that's not the level of service a business like this needs to put forward...and that's a shame. read more

Got a tux here for my sisters wedding awhile back and it fit better than any rental suit you'd get from anywhere else around Eau Claire(usually they're too baggy or something else in other locations). Quite a few years ago John fitted me for a Coat for my Moms 3rd wedding. No she didn't divorce any of them. It was fitted for me and was ready in 2 days. It was beautiful. He didn't steer me towards any price range and was honest about the cut and fabric. I still have that blazer. It still fits. It still looks beautiful and his advice was honest and true. I'm going to actively boo the bad review or two here. They are the most knowledgeable, helpful men's clothing shop I've ever been to. It's not just a suit spot by the way- they have plenty of casual clothing and only carry the highest quality clothing at fair prices. I've been a raving fan and have told many people to shop there. I had recommend Muldoon's to my brother and his fiancé for their wedding because 4.5 years ago, my husband and I had a great experience going through them for our wedding. That was not the case this time. They were constantly rude to the wedding party. The first gentleman to assist them with their order had the order completely wrong (wrong color vests and ties and brown shoes with a black suit). Luckily, that was caught in time. Then come to the wedding day and only 2 out of 7 tuxes fit! And when we called them about it, they told my brother he was lying. We had to go to Walmart to find shirts that fit and they weren't able to wear their vests. These things are just scraping the surface. read more
