I didn't want to just put it in the city trash can "big blue" I found LA Recycling and called them about what was needed and what to expect. I actually asked them if there was a charge for me to bring what I had and they said no. I made my way down there I arrived and entered the building, and to a surprising surprise there was some live entertainment!! It caught me off guard, but it was very sweet, and I hope many recyclers get to hear the musical performance I heard Anywhoos! I approached the window and a nice lady explained the order of operations which are to drive up the ramp on to a weigh station to get weighed, proceed into the yard to unload the load, and then drive back out over the weigh station to weigh out, and then check out at the office, but I was like why do I need to check out!!?? I ended up having around 200lbs of metal, and they gave me money for it!! Whaaaaaaat!??! I don't recommend coming on a rainy day unless you're wearing old shoes

It has been around for a long time (since 1987) and it is the only State licensed transfer station in Tulsa for the general public and businesses to dispose of their waste and recyclables including plastics, aluminum, cardboard, steel cans and paper. It is located just north of downtown Tulsa and it operates like a smooth running machine. You simply pull in to the entry booth, they determine the fee based on how much you have. Then you simply drive through the indoor dump. They have friendly and courteous staff that can help you unload if needed. You have to arrive by 4pm Monday through Friday and by 1pm on Saturdays to unload before closing. They close during all major holidays.
