Benny is on time and on schedule each week and keeps us informed on any schedule changes due to weather, etc. We use BK Mowing for all our landscaping needs, from lawn mowing to shrub and tree trimming to weed management on flower beds, and they do a very thorough and professional job each time. Low Integrity - won't complete job for agreed price…read more I hired CH to remove 6 trees for a set price last summer. He took out all but one because his crew saw an owl in a tree and wanted to make sure it was not actively nesting. We agreed to postpone the last tree until fall. This is from the text CH sent me: "$800 off the check had we will come back to cut it down when the owl is gone". Several weeks go by, we haven't seen any owls since they did the initial tree work, and I reach out to CH. He tells me he's putting me on the schedule, about 3 weeks out. 4 more weeks go by and I reach out to him again. No reply from that attempt. I try 3 more times over the next week to get a hold of him and finally get a reply saying he's been busy and he claims one of my checks bounced for the stump grinding his brother did. He also says this via text: "I can't do the tree for $800 that was included as a bulk price with the others. We will do the tree but it will cost more." I tell him he's mistaken about the check and that nobody ever reached out to me previously to tell me about any issues. Sure enough, it cleared the bank just as I expected. I received no apology and no more communication from him. It just smacked of an excuse why he didn't want to come back and finish the job. Basically, CH quoted a set price for a group of tress, then knocked off some money to postpone it, but won't come back to do it for the agreed on price. The result is that the overall job will cost more money because now I need to find another company to come out and complete the job. Even if CH charged less than another company, I would not use him due to his lack of integrity.

I had a large front porch aggregate floor replaced with brick but it was a much bigger project than they later admitted they usually do. This caused me a lot of frustrations: 1) They didn't spend much time reviewing project. They didn't give me a written quote. 2) Once the front porch was opened up more tuck pointing & fill was needed to fill the opening so they wanted $3000 more than verbal quote they gave me to continue work. 3) Told me no subs used when in-fact actual brick layer was a subcontractor. 4) I personally rejected some of the brick they got from Shade & Wise but they didn't like it and bricklayer slipped some in on the job when I wasn't looking. 5) They chipped off a large corner of base of column holding roof up and wouldn't fix it - so I have to fix myself. 6) Said they will guarantee their work (nothing in writing) but in 15 years will they be around and remember? In summary my experience with ProForce wasn't a walk in the park as too many unknowns they should have foreseen as they are the experts - not me. Michael appeared vocally to be concerned about my disappointments of the chipped base corner but didn't resolve or correct. Throughout the project I had to be at site to figure out what was going on and make sure I was getting a quality job. My suggestion is don't assume anything if you hire them and don't be timid or hesitant in getting your questions answered. It's your money and your house.
