Communications were excellent and they were very open about their work and costs. The technicians -- Todd and Peyton -- could not have been nicer or more professional. They gave me a heads up when they were on their way; assessed my predicament with an on site inspection and photographs; and provided a detailed quote. After some clarifying discussion to make sure we were on the same page, they proceeded. I particularly liked their work pace -- "the speed of quality" (or words to that effect). They clearly took pride in their work. They resealed 12 seams and provided me with before and after photos. The price was very reasonable and the 7 year warranty made it even more reasonable. Should I need gutter work, Charlottesville Gutter Pros will be my first call. I recommend it be yours too.

I asked for a quote for my client who has a 3 story home. The estimator was very professional but the quote was very high and my client decided not to do it. Blue Ridge roofing…read more This company owned by Jerry Bach and his son Jeb Bach was the installer for our new metal roof. We worked out the details with them ahead of time to get the right dates and times that would work for us on changing our room from a shingle roof to a metal roof Jerry did all the preparatory worked and came and saw our house and came up with a contractual agreement showing us all the things that we would need. He also worked with us on the snow guards as we live in the mountains. He also helped us with a gutter system. It was designed in Sweden to handle large volumes of water and melting snow. When knew all the total cost ahead of time. We signed a contract with all the details in place Jeb are installer came and kept me up-to-date. We lived out of town at a second home and he would send me photographs and call and text me and give me updates. He would also ask me questions if there were decisions that need to be made on the go, Jeff was unbelievable and stay in constant contact with me to make sure that the job was done correctly as well as my wife and I liking. When we were visit the house, they would make absolutely sure that we could access the house and kept their equipment and trucks and positions. It would allow us to get in and out when we had to come and go. They were extremely considerate about their workspace and their tools in terms of us entering and exiting the house. They would also pay extra attention to detail such as keeping the property clean from the debris, cleaning up each day and removing all the extraneous materials from the ground and property for safety issues as well as for cleanliness The craftsmanship of our very complicated roof, which had at least five or seven different sections required a lot of on the go, mechanical decision-making on how to design the roof and put it together. Jeb was an expert in that area and made every effort to make the job look fantastic as well as to make it functional. At the very end of the job, Jeb made sure that the water would not affect our mulch or flowerbeds or other parts of the house, but also helping us design exits for water to move it away from the house Jerry, who is the owner was always available to help with changes that needed to be made or other issues. He kept me informed as well as Jeb of the progress. After the project was done, we reviewed everything in detail and my wife and I were very satisfied. The roof was absolutely beautiful. The gutter system was amazing and the entire installation went well with very little issues. Of course, we had to contend with rain and some issues that slowed things down, but the professionalism and the architectural design was fantastic I would highly recommend this company to anyone for the roof replacement!!!!!!

Jeremy handled the whole process, including finding our hard-to-locate siding color, fixed the damage we knew about and what we didn't, and our budget stayed intact. I am so impressed with everything about my experience with Metcalf Tree and Landscape. When the…read morewinter storm of Jan 2022, took a tree out, obstructing our driveway, they came over very quickly and made our driveway passible and then returned and took down the badly damaged tree. We have known of them and their good community service for years. We also chose them because they are licensed and insured - and not everyone is. Later, I asked for an estimate about other trees that had been damaged by the storm and by neighbors trees that had fallen on some of our trees. They gave me an estimate that was clear and explained exactly what they would do. It took a bit of time for us to save up to have this work done. When we let them know we were ready, they were here the next day to begin prep work. With their very busy schedule I know we lucked out. From start to finish, they were professional, friendly, efficient beyond measure, and thorough. They were able to get all nine trees down in one day. They even came blew any Ieft over saw dust out of the driveway. During their work here, they checked in by phone (to let me know they'd be back to tidy, to ask about relocating vehicles, etc.) All the men were very polite and courteous. They clearly knew exactly what they were doing. As if that wasn't enough, the wood we had taken down will become part of their charity, Start A Spark, which provides free wood to families in need who heat with wood burning stoves. We will definitely use them again for any and all tree needs. I can't recommend them highly enough!

We were not even able to get past first base with this company. I contacted them in late October…read morefor an estimate. On Oct 31, I informed them to schedule us for the tree removal. While they were reasonable in the timeframe for the estimate (within a week), we waited for 2 weeks before reconnecting with them them about getting scheduled since we had heard nothing. At that time, they told us that they were scheduling us for Nov 25th. That time has come and gone - I just reached out to them today (Dec 2nd) - a week later - and they informed me that tomorrow (Dec 3rd) was the makeup day in case the 25th didn't work out. Problem is, WE weren't kept in the loop on any of their scheduling/changes. They responded when I texted, but the response consisted of more apologies, just like the first time when they neglected to keep us informed. We were looking for a partnership to help us manage our tree population. Now we have to go through the research process all over again to find someone reliable, which apparently, Metcalf is not.

Not only were his prices the most competitive in the Charlottesville area, but they were also 25% lower than the Northern Virginia fabricators that I visited, whose inventory was of nowhere near the same quality! After having received rushed and inattentive service from other potential fabricators and having met dead end after dead end trying to find the specific stone that I wanted, price was not even my first concern with this project; I was looking for a quality grade of stone that would hold up over time and, most importantly, the personal attention that I needed because the vanity that I designed was not a standard size and was going to be an extremely tight fit in my bathroom. Glenn helped me find the perfect White Macaubas remnant to create a custom vanity countertop for my bathroom renovation. He keeps a surprisingly large and organized inventory, with an absolutely breathtaking selection of exotic slabs as well as affordable remnants; a huge plus was also that he was one of the only fabricators that I contacted who could actually get to the stone easily to send me a photograph before I decided to make the trip to meet with him. Although, relatively speaking, my purchase was not large, in order to get the most countertop space that I could in a small 1950s bathroom without sacrificing my modern design, I ended up requesting several meetings with Glenn, who gave me full access to his team of engineers and fabricators. Tom and Matt sat down with me to go over my drawings and measurements, kindly taking into account the character of my old home and the its limited space without asking me to abandon my design in order to make it easier for them. They patiently created multiple drafts in AutoCAD until the final template met my specifications exactly. They fabricated my countertop flawlessly! The design was so tight that, had any of several measurements been off even 1/8" in the fabrication, I would not have been able to comfortably fit my oversized antique faucet or utilize both my unusually sized sink and my vanity's tilt-out tray that just snugly fit together with a carefully crafted design. Glenn and his team at ESC run their business with an unparalleled focus on customer service and hold themselves to the utmost quality standards at extremely competitive prices, and I couldn't be happier that I found them. Every interaction was truly professional and enjoyable, and I highly recommend and trust the work that they do. I will lastly mention that it is astonishing in this day and age to receive a reply within minutes from a company, much less from its owner/CEO; Glenn was the first person to reply when I reached out to over 25 fabricators in Virginia and was the only one to reply directly by phone, which made communicating my needs much easier and more personal than by email. I have since spoken to Glenn countless times throughout this project, and he has cheerfully and consistently exceeded my extremely high expectations at every turn. He has also genuinely thanked me for my business and has reminded me on numerous occasions that he and his team will do anything to ensure that I love the outcome of my project....Glenn, I am IN LOVE with my beautiful White Macaubas vanity countertop! It is truly the work of art and gorgeous centerpiece that I envisioned for my bathroom renovation. Please pass along my sincere gratitude to everyone at European Stone Concepts, who made me feel so very welcomed and valued. I look forward to working with you soon on the rest of the house!
