Very much approve of our recent visit to this facility. I had been in the area before for other medical appts and was aware of this facility and its giant parking structure; however I had not been inside. We entered via Emergency (very convenient, multiple entry points), and were directed to imaging. As all hospitals, it's not impossible to get turned around in the mazelike corridors but we found our objective easily enough. Bare bones decor. Signage is just okay. Staff - superior. Very friendly, helpful, and professional. Would definitely go again. read more

A loved one was taken to their ER for alcohol poisoning. Once she had been cleared medically, they discharged her without shoes and with a dead cell phone. She asked to use the phone and they told her she could just wait outside in the pick up area. I found her stumbling around by herself in the middle of the parking lot in her socks. Her blood alcohol content still well above the legal limit. read more

Multi Care is no longer excepting Regence PPO only HMO's on Medicare Seniors. This upsets me to no point that Multi Care is not playing well with others. Ours is not the only insurance they are not playing good with. My husband retired with 47 years at Boeing with great insurance through Regence. So when we retired we went with them for our Medicare Advantage. After 8 years of retirement Multi Care no longer Supports several insurance plans. The families of Auburn through insurance companies have supported Multi Care now they are turning their backs on us. What gives???? As a result we have now transferred everything to St Francis Hospital and Doctors in Federal Way. I have a health situation that needs attention. I have found that St Francis is great. The CT scan when through so promptly and with great service. I really like my new Primary Dr and my Urologist and Team are looking after me with the best care. So...maybe this is a blessing in disguise. read more

. I've been around a while and have spent plenty of time in hospitals -- working in them and being a patient -- so I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I came into the MultiCare Auburn Medical Center emergency room with a pretty severe blockage, and to start off: they saved my life. That alone is worth a star. But they deserve more than that. This hospital has at least ten times the amount of staff as other hospitals of similar size, and whoever handles hiring there deserves major credit -- because every single employee I encountered was somewhere between above average and excellent. If you ever find yourself in a medical emergency in southeast King County, this is the place to go. After spending three to four days and nights there, seeing how many moving parts have to work together, and experiencing very few hiccups, I can say that's quite an achievement. Special thanks to the surgeon -- I believe it was Dr. Andrew -- who rose above the "cut-first" mindset some surgeons have and did everything he could to prevent unnecessary surgery. That kind of judgment and restraint is rare and deeply appreciated. Throughout my stay, I was never treated with anything less than professional care. Most of the staff were as friendly and compassionate as anyone could expect, especially considering that dealing with people who are scared, sick, or in pain isn't easy. They deserve far more thanks than they get. All in all, it was about as close to a pleasant experience as a bowel blockage can be -- and that's saying something. I'm alive to tell the story, and for that,Im grateful. Now if I can track down a wife that doesn't make me ride a bus home in my bathrobe after a week in the hospital I'll have it all figured out. read more

I was recently in their ICU for DKA for nearly 3 days, and they treated me with respect and allowed me to wear my own clothes, which were accessible, they made repetitive and uncomfortable procedures more tolerable and less painful for me, and although I was certainly not hungry, nor was I there for the food, the food was better there than at any other hospital I've ever been in in my entire life, and I've had over 20 inpatient experiences from 1962 to the present day. The meal service people were kind and helpful and took a personal interest in what my needs were, and they delivered! Five stars for them, seriously! The doctors were all helpful, with the one exception of a Dr Sharma, who had a bit of an attitude. Oh well huh. read more

If it was just one experience that had went bad I could be more understanding, But EVERY time I've visited this office some incompetent individual at the front desk prolongs immunizations for my daughter, paperwork for my son, and waiting an hour after scheduled appointments. I have scheduled twice for my daughter for immunizations taking off work, and they tell me when I get there I have no appointment. So in person, I reschedule. She's currently sick so I called to reschedule and she tells me I can't because she has to be a patient but when I call coordinated care to ask for them To assign my daughter they tell me they don't know what they are talking about that's not correct information. I could have by now had her immunizations done and had her enrolled in school and because of people's stupidity, all spots in the school preschool I wanted her to go to are now full , oh and if you express any emotion on issues, they hang up on you. *. I am a production painter for a very large manufacturing plant. I was experiencing shoulder pain and couldn't raise my arm up. Went to see Dr hurras and was basically treated like a drug addict. He insinuated that the pain was in my head and that he's sure I will be fine. So I stood up to leave and said I'm getting a second opinion. He says to me "don't you want your pain pill prescription ?" I have never been so insulted and treated so disrespectful in my life! I told him I'm not a f@&$ing drug addict and told him to keep his prescription! They treat patients like trash and drug addicts. If you're in pain do not go here! read more

Deserve ZERO stars. Fire Department medics took my spouse here. Despite arriving at the "back door" (true emergency), the medics and my spouse waited nearly TWO HOURS at the desk. They were told there were no rooms. After finally being taken to a room, it was obvious many of the rooms were empty, so not having a room was a fake excuse. It was three hours before anyone did a blood draw (test for cardiac event) and the only reason they finally acted was because my grandson went inside and grabbed someone. My spouse was initially told his grandson wouldn't be allowed in, but that also turned out to be a lie (he is 19). The monitor alarms kept going off, but nobody responded despite the nurse call button being pushed. This place should be ashamed to call themselves a hospital. There is nothing hospitable about it. Do not go here. Ever. read more

Well, I've noticed that multicare has changed. All the excellent doctors are moving away either to be closer to home or there tired of multicare. Sorry to say it, but it's true. I had an excellent service with Doctor Shannon and Doctor Pince in the multicare system. They listen, understood/understand, and help me be better. And not making me feel depressed or disappointed about me. I'm getting really tired of spending my own hard money at multicare. Every time, it's about 30$ Copay and about 80$ that I have to pay for the bill. That's about 110$ that I could spend on gas or food to survive. And now I have to see the doctor again in 3 months. Well, there goes another 110$. I've already spent about 440$ now since with the new doctor. And that's excluding the Zoom call, which was pointless. And when I saw the doctor for the first time, he seemed nice until the next day when he told me that I have diabetes and then hung up, i said to myself, "What's new. Everybody has it. No one is perfect in life. Is it because i was 240 pounds, I've lost 20 pounds in 3 months before it not hard (for some people)." The doctor is still disappointed that im not 180. And doctor told my dad as well. My dad told me yea when I'm dead. Plus, I went to the doctors today and stood on scale, and i weighed 224. I weighted myself this morning, and I was 221. And He's still disappointed in me. He wants me down to 180 pounds. If i lose that much weight, i would die, to be honest. I'm 32 years old, not 22. If i was 22, then sure, there might be a possibility. And he wants me to do a nutrition doctor, to tell you the truth I've been through one, I know what they say because I had fatty liver. I lost the weight before. To tell you the truth, it was the weight that I an now, 220 pounds. Then it came to FMLA paperwork because my mom isn't gonna make it due to cancer. I've tried twice to get paperwork filled out with this doctor for of MY MENTAL HEALTH because of my mom. I've already having episode because of this. I wanted to be protected with the FMLA. Some days I'll be fine and others I won't. Now he wants me to wait for mom to pass away, i only get 3 days grievance for work. After mom passes away then he will fill it out. Overall, the front desk and nurse is excellent 10/10, and the doctor, well, I think I'm going to find another doctor who actually cares about me. read more

I had to give 1 star not by choice. I've been having a multiple symptoms that are not to be taken lightly. I went in this Saturday at 1pm and the check in area is small reception is right in front of lobby where everyone can hear your issues along with your past medical history and personal information, isn't that alone some kind of patient privacy violation? I was so uncomfortable with that and the rudeness of the reception staff like have a little more empathy and don't be so loud. I don't want the persons in the waiting room knowing anything about me let alone why I'm there. After waiting 6 hours which I also understand that's typical for an ER I was taken back and not even to a bed or space with a bed I was placed in a corner with a hospital recliner and a chair the curtain didn't even cover me I could see into the hallway where they had beds with other patients in them. Not to mention I was right next to the needles bin that nurses would pop in and place the used needles I could see the blood on the top. I was less than a Foot away from this. The bathroom where I was told to collect urine was nasty with blood splatter and no wipes or seat overs to clean for oneself. I could hear everything that was going on with the person right in front of me. Which was a "police investigation " and I heard everything that was said. I tried to sleep and even covered my face with the blanket provided it was difficult. After 3 more hours the dr came in and after a minute got a phone call and stepped out! After another hour he came back wasn't the nicest and made me feel super bad for even going to the hospital. After waiting another 2 hours I decided to leave and definitely will not be going back to this place ever. Would rather die. I checked out "against medical advice" but funny how they did this very quickly less than 10 minutes. I'll be following up with my doctor Monday. I'm seeing oncology soon which is why I got scared and decided to go to ER but not to this place EVER again. read more

Half of the staff here lack of major respect, I was put under stress and pressure already coming in with an anxiety attack and their comments made my issue even worse due to stress I'm only 16 and their respect is seriously immature and take things way too personal. I get it's urgent care but there's no where near the audacity to call the police on me just simply because I made a comment under physical and mental stress. The time management here lacks a lot, my friend had a 3 degree burn all over her body (a minor too) and they didn't attend her till 6 hours later. My older sister who is a registered nurse also didn't last quite long in service with them due to the irresponsibly they have towards clients, lack of time management, staff members and overall ignorance. Had my first baby through c- section. I was so scared to have it in auburn because of their reputation, but i absolutely loved every nurse I had day and night. They were so gentle and understanding that I had a fear of needles, they comforted me before and after surgery. They were so nice to my boyfriend also and helped so much with my baby boy when we weren't sure what was wrong with him. No one lied about anything of the process, and they were fast with their work. read more

I was recently in the ER and hospital for 4 days. The ER doctor (Rossi?) was wonderful, she knew right away what was wrong with me, even though my pain had temporarily subsided (isn't that the way it always goes?). Just looking at the test results scared me, but she was calm and matter-of-fact while also sympathetic. The ER was packed, but I was given a thorough check and multiple tests before I was admitted and had 2 procedures in 2 days (endoscopy and surgery). I'm not saying they were at my beside whenever I wanted something, they are so busy some things get left by the wayside, but my care was excellent. Considering this was a totally unexpected health issue for me, I'm so glad they were there to guide me thru the experience. read more

What a switch from Valley Medical Center!! Last night I tor a ligament, and initially went to VMC, my leg was so messed up that I couldn't get in any remotely comfortable position. I was also informed that the wait would be an easy 6 hours. I couldn't sit in the chairs they had for that long..I couldn't fathom sitting in one of those for even 10 more minutes so i left. A friend of mine suggested Auburn Med Ctr. I was in their waiting room a half hour when called and taken to a room. Within 20 minutes of that, I had seen a couple nurses, an x-ray tech and a doc. About another 20 min went by, I had some pills to annihilate the excruciating pain. An hour after that, I was discharged with crutches etc. Soooo much quicker, cleaner, nicer and efficient than VMC, hands down. No comparison in quality of care, just location and industry read more

After sitting on hold and being transferred multiple times I scheduled an appointment with Multicare for Sue Wohlfert in Auburn. They were booked two months out. When I arrived for my appointment the receptionist let me know I did not have an appointment and that they had canceled it. No call? Exactly they said they had my number incorrect and they DO NOT email you?! I was very disappointed for a first visit! Then I asked when I could reschedule and she told me they were 2 months booked out and this was at my cost to wait because why!? How was this my fault!! Sham on you and your staff! Deserves a zero star. My boy friends was bite by an squirrel... we called and asked if he needs an Rabies vaccine. This emergency room said yes, we should stop by them. Then, we waited there for over 4 hours. However, at the end, they changed their mind and said there is no need of Rabies vaccine. Today we received our bill, the bill is around 700 dollars for wasting 4 hours of our time... when we were visiting, we keeps asking the price, but no one will tell us because they all know how expensive it is. read more

One of the worst hospitals in Washington. Can't believe I was born here too. Surprised I wasn't dropped there as a baby. Cause all their staff, doctors and nurses. Were all just careless, inconsiderate, and rude. Like the nurse I got here a few years ago. Where she kept poking me with a needle because she couldn't find my vein. And ending up making me bleed more and left me with an ugly looking bruise. And I came in one other time intoxicated, I was 18 and feeling suicidal. I was crying hysterically. They strapped me down. And surrounded me. The nurses and the doctors including the paramedics that brought me in. All laughed at my pain. Cracking jokes. Like how inconsiderate can you be. It made me angry.. that was the last time I went to that place. And I will never be going back. Even if I get into an accident close by. I would rather be in pain or die. If it means I have to go back to that hospital. That's how much I don't recommend going to this hospital for any reason at all. Anywhere else is your best bet. read more

so back in May of this yr I was admitted to the hospital for a (non Covid) health reason. I was on the 4th floor med/surg floor. I was the first in the room and was next to the window where I could c the trains go by. I luv that view. So the next day I was given a roommate. Well the day after that I was discriminated against by her n her company. I was forced to change rooms. Her company didn't want their family member sharing a room with someone with special needs. I couldn't believe how racist they are. Also can't believe nurses n techs n such allowed that behavior. Not to mention removing me from that room. I already have a hard time trusting hospitals. (and have my entire life) but now I'm not trusting the very people that are there to provide me with the care I needed. How am I supposed to trust this hospital and the people whom work there after being discriminated against? read more

I have been going to Dr. Santos for years. I am 72 years old and he is one of he best doctors I've had as a primary care physician. He listens, responds to emails, and is very knowledgeable. My prescriptions are always up to date and filled on time. I would highly recommend him read more

The nurses and support staff were very nice. The one star comes from interactions with Dr. Patel. She is the most condescending self-centered physician I have ever seen. She is very rude to patients. Other patients felt the same way. Auburn would have gotten 4-5 stars. Had to give only one star because of their poor choice of choosing Dr. Patel as a provider to work with patients. i have chronic pancreatitis, live within 1 mile of Auburn Multicare, they tried to get rid of me quickly even though I was in a great deal of pain and had high triglycerides. They said well we just go based off numbers on blood work for you to get admitted or discharged. You aren't suppose to have higher than a 300, my triglycerides were 800 and they were still quick to make to leave, when I was at Convington they made me stay for insulin therapy to lower my numbers even though they were lower at a 720...This is my second visit here and first was the worse, i was in ICU for 3 days and once my numbers looked fine the doctor demanded for me to be discharge even though my BP and heart rate were extremly high, I just finished went through hell for 72 hours my body was still shock...normally they would send you downstairs to PCU to monitor you. When i was discharged from ICU i went to Tacoma General 2 days later and they were surprised i was even allowed to leave Auburn because of my numbers and levels. Sadly this multicare is trash but i would drive to Tacoma General or Allenmore, Convington. I've had great care from Nurses but Doctors are a big hit or miss in Auburn, but definitely not worth the risk. They also have you see more than one doctor and they all compare notes, some are bias and they will make you repeat exactly your symptoms to each doctors like none of them take notes or speak with one another. It feels like you're being judged by each one when you're speaking in circles, they would come about every 2-3 hours in the morning and have you repeat yourself it's awful. I've had wonderful doctors but more awful ones on my visits. One doctor suggested an endoscopy which would of been ++ for my condition finding out more on why I have these flare ups...and it must of been frowned upon because it never happened, basically the other two doctors said that's a specialist job when they had one ON SITE at the Hospital! They just wanted to free up a bed and I was out within a few hours, walked out to the lobby it's awfully filled no chair available (now I see why they wanted me gone). They told me we can't do anything for you here that you can't do at home, even though my heart rate was extremely high and blood pressure spiking, White blood count was higher than average which meant my body was fighting off something...Even though I live closer to Auburn Multicare I will never be going back again I would rather make that drive! read more

Watched them force down an old woman into her bed and force her to take an injected medication to calm to her down (despite her telling them no) and lower her blood pressure against her will. They held her down and she howled in pain. None of them seemed concerned with this and the security looked like they were having fun. Suicide hall was a living nightmare. For your loved ones, if this is where you send them you are beyond cruel and if you're trying to give them a reason to live you are only making it worse. Staff having a jolly and joking in wing and has no apparent care towards patients. They don't LISTEN. The staff are all practically deaf to any voices but their own. Cooperation is like pulling teeth so yeah I didn't want to cooperate with their staff who were too busy playing story time, laughing in a suicide wing of a hospital. Prison would have been better than this. Your staff digust me. Kaiser never treats their patients like this. I never want to be treated here again. I WILL EXIT if I am ever brought to this hospital. Besides that! There was, at no point, an evaluation. They wasted my time. The EMT was told if they were taking me anywhere (involuntarily) that it'd be to Kaiser and I would accept no other hospital. These people don't care about you or your family, they just do whatever fits their agenda. Place is a joke. Nurse couldn't even draw blood! She poked like the same spot three times with the same needle. I encouraged her that she could do it in one go but she failed. Saw my vein told her to use the other arm and she got it in one go. They couldn't figure out why there was skin cell samples in my urine even after I told them five times I had surgery earlier that morning! Either your staff are deaf or ignorant. EMT from.ambulance was an idiot and suggested I was trying to jump in traffic. I scoffed at him for believing a rumor and he got upset but it shows the staff don't actually use factual evidence and will let anything that rings in their ears give them an excuse. I told him to mind his own business since he obviously didn't care. read more

The second was completely lazy and inept and hurtfully rude actually willfully withholding food and medication. I walked out and was asked to stay. I laughed at their ineptitude and laziness. The ER here is terrible, please go else where because they gave me the wrong diagnoses. I came here feeling very fatigue, weak because of taking mega dose of d2 for vitamin d deficiency and had side effects. The doctor didn't think it was from the d2 that was depleting my magnesium and in fact it was exasperating my magnesium deficiency. But instead she assumed I had a UTI. She gave me antibiotics through IV and prescription antibiotic to take for 7 days. When my urine laps came back, I did not have a UTI. They try to contact me to tell me to stop taking the antibiotics but I missed their call. They didn't even leave a message to tell me to contact them. Instead they sent a letter that I did not received until a month later. Because of their negligent the antibiotic messed up my gut flora and gave me a month of diarrhea. Now I have unresolved stomach issues and a host of other symptoms that might have been brought on by taking antibiotics. Antibiotics is not candy that you prescribe going on a hunch without waiting for labs to come back. This not only harms but a disregard for the patients health. read more

Found my original medical oncologist Dr. Sasha Joseph here under my new medical plan. Yay..I have 2 of my oncology team back in the fold. Now if only my surgeon would mysteriously reappear. Your appointment is pretty much on schedule, but sometimes you'll have to wait in the exam room for the Dr. to finish with a previous patient. The Dr's here will give you the same courtesy of time to listen to you, so if they are a little behind getting to you, there are other patients who get that same courtesy of time. You don't know other peoples conditions, so please be patient here. There are many cancer patients here. Keep this place stress free. Found out they offer financial aid, so with all my medical debt from other places that didn't offer help, I may find myself switching my primary medical care to multi care as well if I an awarded help. I like my current primary Dr. but Chi Franciscan is making me go broke not offering assistance. Apparently I earn too much. Um..I pay out a ton so you would think that would be taken into account. Not at Chi. The front desk ladies here at MultiCare told me they offered the aid, and I should apply. Even if they offered 50% after insurance pays, that saves me a great deal. I'll be greatful for any help. Parking situation is unique, but if I have to walk an additional block to park the further parking garage not requiring a pass for the dash, so be it. They offer coffee, tea and water, but the coffee both times I've been here has been empty when I've tried for a cup. I'll be back in a couple of weeks. Might have to go on a Rx to stop estrogen production since that's the cause of my kind of cancer. Long as I don't grow a beard or get different cancers because of a reduction, I'll consider my recurrent chances of cancer coming back with and without the scrip. I'll get all the information I need from Dr. Joseph. Oh they have a MyChart site which is the best way to message your care team without making a medical appointment. Convenience is everything. If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst ER I have ever been to. I went to the ER since I was having problems breathing. The lady at the desk could care less and as I struggled to talk she checked me in. Then sent me to sit in a corner where I am sure if I passed out no staff would have noticed. The desk faced away from the waiting area which is a terrible set up. I finally got called to get checked in by a nurse who did not care to answer any questions. She was rude and just wanted me out of the check in room. After being told my vitals were fine as I was bent over coughing struggling for air (I had a negative covid test, lots of them in fact) and it would be a long time since I was not a priority. I got called for an xray about an hour later. The lady doing the xray was nice but left me after telling me I was done. I had no clue how to find my way back to the waiting room and found another staff member to help me. The xray lady did come to apologize at least. I had to use the restroom at this point and someone had a bowel movement that ended up all over the ladies room floor. I told the first staff member I saw and was told to tell someone else. I told the second staff member I saw while still struggling to breath. They did not care and said it was not their problem. I finally waited in the line and told the lady at the check in counter. She said she would call someone to clean it up. I used the restroom around three hours later and it was still there. Either no one was called or no one showed up. After over five hours of not being able to breath easily I was called to a room. The nurse said dr will be in a minute and left me. The dr showed up about ten minutes later. Pretty much ignored what I said to him and prescribed me an antibiotic. I wanted oxygen and at the very least a steroid. The dr was in the room less then five minutes. Right after that someone from the front area came to take payment, they sure were prompt with that area. Then the nurse took forever to come take the IV out of my arm and bring the RX for the antibiotic. Almost 7 hours in the ER due to not being able to breath and I am worse then before I went in. All the pharmacies were closed by the time I got out despite having go to the Er around 2:30pm. I still cannot breath and am scared to go to sleep thinking I wont wake up. If I have to go to an ER again it will be Covington. At Auburn you suffer waiting on the drs to give no help. read more

This hospital is one of the worse hospitals I've ever been to. I can't wait to be discharged! I had back surgery (my surgeon was great) but some of the nurses didn't give me my pain meds until hours later. By then I was crying and in excruciating pain. I would never recommend this place at all. You never really see the main nurse apparently she's too busy answering the phone. But I hope to God I never have to come here again. read more

Was treated for hernia surgery. I was handled with a high level of respect and care the moment I walked in for surgery. All the nurses and doctors we're very nice to me and even cracked some jokes to lighten the mood. I'm pleased to have my life in the hands of such experienced and genuine individuals. I wish I could remember the names of the ones who chatted with me if only for brief moments because their words helped to calm me more than they know. I never felt judged once. I have had kidney failure since 1992. Kidney failure leads to other issues with your body through the years. I couldn't even try to guess how many times I've been in the hospital or how many surgeries I've had. I've been to UWMC in Seattle, Harborview, Swedish, Providence in Everett, Kittitas County (Ellensburg) and both major hospitals in Yakima.Auburn General by far is the worst hospital I've been in! I came in 10/7/19. I came by ambulance with severe abdominal pain. I have had this pain before. The first time I had this pain I ended up having bowel resection. A small part of my bowel wasn't getting blood flow because of a blockage. It was twisted and ended up dying. I had about a 10 inch long vertical incision on my belly. I woke up from the surgery with a tube down my nose and in was horrible pain. The first 3 days were very rough! Then I started healing pretty fast. Went home after 5 days and healed normally. Fast forward 2018. Started having same kind of pain. Went to Providence in Everett. Thank goodness my bowel was just twisted. Doc said let's give it a couple of days, it may take care of itself. It did thank God! Back to 10/7/19. Ended up having emergency surgery I had a herniated bowel obstruction. Stayed in hospital for 10 days. My family was very close to transferring me out of Auburn. I will NEVER go back there! read more

I'm so glad to have come in when I did. Everyone was friendly, helpful, there was 2 minute waiting time and no issues at all. The facility is clean, everyone wears masks, and I'd go again! I was nervous coming to the doctor but I was pleasantly surprised. Dr Santos and Daisy were just lovely people with professional but good senses of humor. Unlike most doctors I've met in the past, Dr Santos didn't judge me for marijuana use and was more cornered about my past history of cigarette smoking. I said I was stupid to ever start smoking tobacco and all Dr Santos said was "It's really great that you quit". I have never vibed so well with a doctor before. Best experience ever. read more
