I have watched Lavina teach seniors and children alike. She has a contagious smile, a charming personality and loves to teach and perform. This year decided to ask if she would come and dance at our Bollywood Party. She obliged and was the hit of the party. Everyone was just raving about her style and ability to bring even the diehard non-dancers to the floor. They all had such a blast and were asking for her name as these guests left the party. I would recommend her without any reservation to utilize her services at parties and also to join her classes. Her teaching style is gentle but inviting and makes you want to move and make you feel good doing it. I personally have 2 left feet when it comes to dancing. Lavina is amazing! We booked several privates with her to choreograph and teach us a dance for our friends wedding. We had no rhythm and no experience! She was amazing to work with! Helped us find music and cut it for us, choreographed the entire 4 min dance. She taught it to us with the patience of a saint - two white girls trying to do moves we had never done before - but she got us looking great. She was amazing! Our goal was to just dance for the bride and not make fools of ourselves but Lavina was phenomenal and worked with us until we looked great! This past Friday with an invite from a friend, I took a Bollywood class with Lavina. I was unsure of what to expect as I hadn't been in a dance class since I was 5. I normally consider myself "rhythm challenged", but she made it very easy to follow along. To my surprise I smiled throughout the entire hour. I held part of my sister's bachelorette at Mumbai Madness and it was super fun. I'm so glad we held it here. Lavina is an amazing instructor. Having no knowledge of Bollywood dancing or Zumba, she was able to put us at ease and do the various dance moves. Everyone in our group loved the class. We copied her dance movements and it was such a joy to watch her teach. Her facial expressions while dancing was pretty impressive. In addition to being fun, it was pretty intense, but In a good way. I had tried various fitness classes ( pole dancing, silks, yoga, belly dancing, and Pilates), but I enjoyed this zumba class the most because of the instructor and music. This is a super fun class w cool moves and great music. The class size is small and most of her students know the moves well. So it's not hard to catch on and get a good work out. The teacher is both energetic and enthusiastic. I had attended a class which started a few minutes late and the teacher later told us she had to be at the emergency room the previous night. I was very amazed and truly appreciated her work ethics. The class is fast paced and you will get a great work out. There are a few different specials on the website. So you can take your pick. The location is next to the AMC theater in the Tustin District, so park near the theater. Don't use the GPS, you will get lost inside the district. Don't rely on the Tustin District map either, it has a wrong location. read more

Lavina is simply the best! One of my best friends was getting married and had no one to do her Indian Dance Program at her wedding, so my other bestie and I decided we would step up to the plate but, as two very white girls, had no idea how we were going to pull this off! Luckily Mumbai Madness, Lavina came to our rescue! In just a few short weeks (8 total classes) she took us from tripping on our feet and having no rhythm or experience to pretty decent dancers! Lavina picked our music, cut a 4 minute track, choreographed our dance and taught us to shine! We were hoping to just not embarrass ourselves (or the bride) when we danced for her but Lavina worked with us until we looked great! Lavina is kind, warm and encouraging. She put up with our self-deprecating humor and bumbling in the most encouraging way! We called Lavina for a zoomba session as a birthday surprise for our daughter's 16th birthday. Lavina and her colleague made it a true special with the dance moves, foot stomping song selection and the energy she brought to the party. I have known Lavina for almost a year now, have attended her Bollywood work out classes through Zoom for several months. They were phenomenal! She is energetic, enthusiastic, and would go the extra mile by asking if her students had any specific requests and would include those songs in her classes. During Covid times when we were all indoors, she would do her bit in marking festivals by asking us to dress in traditional festive outfits when we attended classes. Recently, Lavina choreographed all the dance sequences for a friend's daughter's wedding reception - those performed by the bride and groom as well as the bride's parents. Choreography was perfect, everyone enjoyed thoroughly, and it was a special surprise to see the bride's parents dance so well considering they had never danced ever before. All thanks to the teacher! My friends and I booked Lavina for a private lesson (In Artesia) since it was a friends' birthday. Our experience surpassed our expectations. We are by no means any sort of dancers or any sort of in shape, but Lavina kept an upbeat and encouraging attitude throughout the session and went with our (very slow) pace. The hour flew by and it was actually fun! If you are looking for a fun date night, girls night out, or spice to up your work out, I recommend checking out this dance studio! Oh this is a super fun dance/ workout class. You get dance moves, lunges, burpees, yoga and some weights too. Now, how many Zumba classes can do that? This class is like no other. The instructor's energy seems like endless and she makes sure you're following most of the steps too. Most of the dance steps are easy to follow/ remember and everyone involved is super friendly. I have been attending classes at Mumbai Madness for almost 2 years! It has been one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I had always wanted to learn how to dance to Bollywood music and when I found this place it did not disappoint. Her class is fun, has great music and challenges you and your body. One of my favorite things about her class is the fact that she actually gives you a warm up and cool down.
