They were very careful to confirm everything via email and coordinated gravestone installation with the cemetery (in Portland), and then sent me a photo once installed. It wasn't just that they saved me money, I got the stone and artwork that my mom's cemetery could not offer. It did take a while for the gravestone to be completed, but Edgewood warned me about that in the beginning, so I didn't have to worry. I really wanted to like these guys. Communication was good and they were confident in their work. I…read morehad two chimneys cleaned, new caps with screens, and masonry repair on the top of one of the chimneys. During a wind storm one of the caps blew off. I called the company to see if they warrantied it and was told that weather was not their problem. Funny, because after the guy was done installing everything I specifically asked if one of these blew off there was any warranty, and was told everything was covered for one year. No offer to reattach was made, so I had someone else look at it. Found the chimney cap was only glued on and not attached with any hardware at all. The sealant was cooked by the heat and just let go. Not only that, the cap was the wrong style. Nothing fit inside or outside of the chimney pipe, it merely rested flat on the top and was slathered in a massive amount of black sealant. I was told that obviously this could never have been expected to last through the heat of use or any wind. A correct diameter one was found quickly and clamped in place. I don't understand why they couldn't have just told me they didn't have a proper cap instead of wasting my money.
