Clare Love at Jivaro is not your usual consultant. Did things that I have never had the experience of a recruitment consultant do for me. Having stayed in touch over the course of 8 months, finally let her know I was looking for work and she organised a first meeting to actually know what I was looking for, even before I applied for a job. That was the first wow moment, this person is actually doing their job. She gave me a couple of opportiunities that she had, then set me up for an interview, gave me loads of tips and help. Then followed up afterwards with a phone call. Everythnig went well, but I wanted more money so we moved on. Normally that's it, I've never had a return call from a recruitment company. Never. But as I said before, Clare is not your usual recruitment consultant, so wow moment number two she gave me a call a couple of weeks later as she had a position and she thought it was a good fit for me. So same thing again, had three interviews, Clare gave me heaps of info, not just about the company and job but also tips for the interview. I called her after the first and third interview to give her my feedback (which she requested), the second interview I was lazy and did not call her, however a couple of hours after she actually called me to ask how it went. There is your wow moment number three. Clare was a great person to deal with, she knew what she was doing and actually made me feel valued and that she was really trying to help me, not like other recruitment companies that just want your details to boost their client numbers. While their office is located in Mascot which can be a little far for some, I found it very easy to locate with ample free parking to be found in the adjacent street. The staff were very friendly and the tests involved (typing, word and excel) weren't too intimidating. Once I signed an OH&S form, they put me on their books straight away. The space is available for people on a daily rate, and monthly rate, with discounts to additional bulk purchases. There are no coffee shops within a 10 minute walk, and there's no coffee within the establishment, which makes for a relatively horrible working environment - can't imagine doing more than half a day without the caffeine in my blood.

There's a lot of benefits to sharing a space - besides just having a "work office" you can find new work colleagues, collaborate on projects or even have a few after work drinks. There are quite a few eateries in walking distance, may I suggest Harris street cafe (across the road) and Le Depot (2 mins walk away). You hire a desk which comes with internet, use of the tea/ coffee facilities and "board room" desk. There's a great young vibe and really funky aesthetics.... I would definitely recommend this to any person trying to start up their own business. My only problems about Vibewire is 1) Lack of parking -and the parking officers in this area are mean.... 2) No privacy - sometimes you want to hide behind a door and not be heard.... I am always happy with the service and the attention they have given me since my early days of banking with them. The interest rates are incredible and the negotiations with loans are amazing. I am in awe of this place as you can see. They also have one of the best securities of internet banking I know of and they monitor your spending if an odd transaction happens. Ok..Big Brother....but I don't mind that when someone is looking after my money and interests. The Homebush office which is quite large has a number of other services . I once used the car buying service. I just had to mention the types of cars I wanted to test drive and they arranged for the cars to come to the building and I just drove them and then organised the purchasing at the same spot. It was amusing I was test driving very large cars (was used to only small cars) at the time...and floored the car out of the car park with people looking around thinking...."he can't be one of us!" I also organised several extensive holidays through their travel agency. I have had some funny and romantic experiences and shared them with the staff when I have returned to Oz. "We will always have Paris" is my favourite thought here! Relatives can become members of TMB if someone in the family is a teacher. I wouldn't trust anyone else.
