Unfortunately, our recent experience left us extremely disappointed. I called ahead to let the office know we were running a few minutes late as a courtesy. When we arrived--within what I understood to be the standard 15-minute grace period--we were told they would not be seeing us. I asked if they could make an exception, given our long-standing relationship and the fact that we did call ahead, but was told very firmly, "We only see patients who arrive on time." What was most surprising was how unprofessional the interaction felt. The receptionist told us we could sit in the lobby, but there was no guarantee when or if they'd be able to fit us in. She also stated that the decision came directly from the head doctor of the practice which was especially disappointing after over a decade of care. We understand that schedules are tight and policies are necessary, but there was no flexibility, compassion, or consideration shown--not even a reasonable explanation that we called ahead of time. It's unfortunate to be treated this way after so many years, and we're now re-evaluating whether this is the kind of practice we want to continue trusting with our child's healthcare.

She(med tech) could not give the Rota virus (liquid vaccination) by mouth so She had asked me if I can give her the oral liquid. So I had to do it for her and she gives two shots to my child and then pokes herself with the needle and her blood is falling on my child. She wasn't wearing gloves and She quickly leaves the room bc she says she needs another band aid bc my daughter is bleeding so much.....when it was her (med tech's) blood that was falling on my daughter and while she is gone I'm wiping away the blood and am furious at this point. She comes back and sees there is no blood and says ohh I thought she had blood on her. I am ready to leave and complain to the lady sitting at the front. She realizes something happened bc my face said it all. After telling her what just happened she goes to Tell the doctor and returns back to me and just apologizes on what happened. You would think the doctor (Dr. Sapps) would come out and apologize about what just happened but he did not. Will not return to this place and don't recommend this place to anyone!!! I'm all about people learning, but when you are learning you need to be supervised by another professional very closely! I'm so disappointed with this office and how they run their clinic! I would never want anyone to go through what I went through. Come to think of it....they never had any checklists or questionnaires for the mothers or for baby like most other clinics have!

Other than that, I would NOT recommend them. They don't seem to like kids, and the office staff is often impatient or rude. Also, I have often heard the office staff make rude comments about the person that they just hung up the office phone with. They speak loudly, so it is obvious they are annoyed with that patient or person they were just dealing with on the phone. And don't even think about being late (which can happen with kids!). They will be annoyed. But if you have to wait 45 minutes to be seen (which can happen there sometimes), you better be patient! Also, most of the drawers/cabinets in the rooms are NOT childproofed. So, you are waiting for the doc with your child in a diaper (per their request) and trying to keep your child from taking off their diaper (if they are a toddler) and from taking medical equipment out of the drawer. My biggest concern is just the lack of passion and genuine care for children from the staff (Except for Dr. Shah). Why did you choose to go into pediatrics? Find another practice for your lil' ones.

The office stated that we could not return because we had those we didn't pay those two bills at one point. I was able to get us reinstated however our insurance changed because I was recently unemployed. Because our insurance changed to Medicaid, I noticed that it was difficult appointments and . I can clearly see that people with Medicaid are treated different than others.
