A few years later, when we moved to Chicago, it was an easy decision to choose Pediatric Partners as our primary care practice. They are, without a doubt, the best pediatric practice in the Chicago area. Every doctor is exceptionally knowledgeable, calm, and attentive, and we trust them completely. They are always on top of everything and make you feel confident that your child is in the best possible hands. Even though the practice is about a 25-minute drive for us, we have never considered going anywhere else. I have the utmost trust in everyone who works there and have only had positive experiences. My son actually had the same doctor that I had growing up for the first two years of his life. I was very sad to see her retire but not worried about finding a new doctor within the practice. We have been seeing Dr. Waterman for the last 3 years and now she sees my baby girl. She is so helpful and personable. She is very knowledgable and listens to all the questions that you can come up with. The new office expansion is great. It allows for extra rooms and they have enough toys and books in the waiting room that we actually stay after our appointments to play. But we are never waiting for more than a few minutes to be called back to our room. The nurses are fantastic. They are kind, patient and thorough. We all know it can be a whirlwind with kids but they always handle everything so smoothly. The nurses are very helpful over the phone and relay messages to the doctors in an appropriate time frame. Two generations have been going to this practice so it should be obvious that the doctors and the nurses are phenomenal. My kids told her on our last trip there that she was their favorite doctor (and that's before she told them that they were going to get a lollipop). I'd highly recommend Dr. Nelson. She even comes in on her off days to catch up on all her emails. She's very responsive. We had an incident 2 years ago and the care she gave my child was amazing. You can definitely tell that she loves what she does and truly wants what's best for your child. She's not quick to jump on medications or anything, sometimes, it's just rest and plenty of liquids for a common cold. We have also seen Dr. Levin when Dr. Nelson wasn't available (sick call) and he's amazing as well. Melissa, the nurse is really nice (and my kids always ask her if they need to get a shot). I should say sorry for my son kicking you 3 years ago when we had to give him a shot - sorry! He's definitely got more comfortable and does not kick anymore - yay! Was all explained kindly to me. When I got in, Dr Ziemann spent a lot of time with me to understand what is going on. She's down to earth, compassionate. The office has online access for test results, appointments, and a way to. contact my Dr. I had a question about my results and Dr Ziemann was quick to respond. The front office and nurses all very nice and helpful and kind. They can do own blood tests there so no need to go to 3rd party blood test company.

She(med tech) could not give the Rota virus (liquid vaccination) by mouth so She had asked me if I can give her the oral liquid. So I had to do it for her and she gives two shots to my child and then pokes herself with the needle and her blood is falling on my child. She wasn't wearing gloves and She quickly leaves the room bc she says she needs another band aid bc my daughter is bleeding so much.....when it was her (med tech's) blood that was falling on my daughter and while she is gone I'm wiping away the blood and am furious at this point. She comes back and sees there is no blood and says ohh I thought she had blood on her. I am ready to leave and complain to the lady sitting at the front. She realizes something happened bc my face said it all. After telling her what just happened she goes to Tell the doctor and returns back to me and just apologizes on what happened. You would think the doctor (Dr. Sapps) would come out and apologize about what just happened but he did not. Will not return to this place and don't recommend this place to anyone!!! I'm all about people learning, but when you are learning you need to be supervised by another professional very closely! I'm so disappointed with this office and how they run their clinic! Last week, I brought my son in and after his evaluation of him, he recommended he see a specialist. He gave me the name of doctors to see. After I called to make the appointment with the specialist (who I couldn't see for almost 2 months) he called other practices and doctors in the area to see if anyone had anything sooner. Lucky for us, we were put on a cancellation list and we're able to see a doctor this week. He called to follow up several times! So very appreciative of the level of care from this practice!
