Re: COFFEE Because needing coffee in a donut shop is like needing tires on a car.... Must offer REAL half and half! And at least some soy milk for lactose intolerant folks, too! Store states open during 4:30am-5:00pm, but usually closes before 10:30am. Today, we arrived at 9:15. Closed. I have asked about this before and the answer I received was after they run out, they close. At 9:30AM? Seems like this business does not know how to prepare. Customers are turned away daily, well before posted close hours. At least change your times. I have made a suggested edit on what Google shows as their open times to help not waste other people's time. 4:30-11:00 is much more accurate. read more

Munford Donuts is now on my list of must-visit places when I'm in town. True, it may be the lone donut shop in Munford, but that's not the only reason it's the best. The glazed donuts were soft. fresh, and among the best I've ever had. I've sampled all the donuts in my neighborhood, and if there were there, it would beat them all. I especially loved he bear claw (large and filled with apple - with just the right amount of cinnamon) and the old-fashioned, without glaze. My parents tried the kolaches (off-limits to vegetarians) and loved the bread and sausage stuffed inside. This place has a drive through window (for the regulars who know what they want!). They also have very long hours, opening at 4:30 a.m. every day except Sunday, when they open at 5, and they're open until 5 p.m. I would be surprised if they stay busy the whole time. They also had a number of filled donuts, with fillings like lemon, raspberry, cherry, strawberry, cream, or custard, as well as apple fritters and a wide a mix of cake and yeast donuts. The girl at the counter did warn me against the "new caramel" that looked really tasty on top of cake donuts, with nuts. I may have to try it and see for myself when I go back. read more

It's the only place in town so I guess what they have is decent. The donuts weren't as fresh.

An OK and mediocre donut shop. The only one in town which gives them a hot market for this area. If you are a donut connoisseur it may not be acceptable. Where I live Krispy Kreme reigns supreme. This is no comparison to a Krispy Kreme Doughnut. Sometimes the glazed donuts taste stale and sometimes they are soft and fresh. Compared to red's donuts in Paducah no comparison. Reds donuts is much better than this place. Again it is the only donut shop in the area and they have a monopoly on this wonderful breakfast treat. I forgot to mention the smoker outside the door. Cigarette smoke is disgusting especially when the guy comes in from outside to serve donuts. read more

We decided to go into this little bakery while our oil was being changed at Munford Tire, it was a good call. We ordered croissant sandwiches, mine was sausage, egg, and cheese, and Krista opted for the bacon. I was very surprised to see the size of the sandwich, for 1.99 is was huge. The croissant was nice and flakey, just an overall good breakfast sandwich. The great thing about it is that they sell these things by the dozen.......for 21.99. What a great thing to do for your staff one day, the bakery opens at 0430 during the week so grabbing a dozen that were called in the night before is a great way to make your office feel good. I guess the point is that there is a good bakery in Munford, they are working some crazy hours to make the business work. In my opinion, it is worth a shot.......they have well prepared donuts, a variety of sandwiches to choose from, and the customer service you would expect from a small business wanting to do well. I am very partial to "mom and pop" establishments, and this one is worth our attention. read more

This is an alright place. Nothing too special about it but since it is the only donut shop in Munford, it is kind of your only option. The selection is limited but they always have the standard options that you consistently come back for. The jelly filling tastes very artificial. Acceptable but not awesome. read more
