In fact, I was incredulous that it wasn't a required part of the closing as it has been in every other state in which I've bought property. I got a list of surveyors from my real estate agent, and every one I contacted either didn't return emails or phone messages or flaked out after I contacted them and didn't follow through with the appointment. Finally, I got a referral for Brewer Survey from my deck contractor, and it went great. They were very responsive (both by phone & email) and their prices were reasonable. I was given two options: 1) if I only wanted the corners marked; or 2) if I also wanted a certified drawing with all structures marked as well. I chose the latter and was very satisfied with both the product and the service. Highly recommend.

I also recommend they be exposed to training on communication and customer service to promptly answer ACRs. I pay my HOA dues on time. Therefore, as a customer, I expect a prompt response from them when submitting an ACR. It does not take 36 days to reply to a simple ACR. If one or two members of the board cannot understand the ACR remarks/narratives, pick up the phone, provide questions thru email and/or get up from the desk and take a look at the situation. The remarks/narrative description to be performed on the ACR I submitted was very clear. There is a lot of pettiness from their part and that is unacceptable.
