The coffee and the drinks in general are good but the service needs better attitude, it's the second time that I ordered coffee and a latte and they don't have glass or mugs clean they said they are in the dishwasher. And they just don't care that I explained that I do not use plastic or paper cups because all the toxins that seep into your drink from them. They said well nothing we can do. If I will come back I will bring my own stuff I guess. Ambiance is good just need to sweep the floors more often. read more

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! The moment you walk in, there is a modern vibe with soft music playing in the back! Different sets of chairs and tables to sit at. In the front is the coffee shop, in the back is the wine shop! There is an upstairs, but I didn't go up there. My latte art was amazing and loved that this coffee shop offers real mugs! Love the coffee and ambience but the bakery items could be much better. I've gotten the croissant a couple of times hoping that'd it be fresher each time I got it, but they're literally continuously stale and hard asf. Same thing with the cinnamon roll I got recently, very dry and hard on the outside. Their other foods look really delicious though but I just wish they had fresher bakery items on display and didn't keep super stale foods there. It makes me feel like I wasted my money. read more

Must visit!- not sure if all cafes are built like this in Bama but I've been to cafes all over the country and this one over achieves in all areas. I came up to avoid the hurricane, and came here to do some work. Spent about 4 hours here with no complaints. There's just so much space! Plenty Options of coffee and tea - food menu AND wine! It's a crazy experience. This place was huge- two stories of open and comfortable seating. And the decor classy and modern. the only thing that could make it better to me would be a library/ book session. Give this place a try and more bathrooms upstairs but overall amazing experience. A friend and I visited Mural City Coffee on a Saturday morning. There was a little bit of a line, but it moved along at a good pace. It was my first time visiting and the staff member suggested I try the salted caramel latte. It was the right choice! It was absolutely delicious! The latte was not too sweet and had a good flavor. There was ample seating both on the ground floor and upstairs. The more people that came in the louder it got inside, but overall we didn't have trouble hearing our conversation. I had a disappointing visit today. I was with my daughter and grandchildren--we asked the girl preparing the drinks for some to-go containers for the kids' snacks, but she ignored us. A few minutes later, another staff member helped. Then, my grandson accidentally spilled an entire cup of tea. I went to inform the same girl so no one would slip and fall, and again she ignored me. The cashier stepped in, but at that point I made a light comment: "Oh sorry, I didn't realize we couldn't talk to her," because it truly felt that way. Instead of helping or acknowledging the situation, the girl (cashier) told another customer she was in dismay that I even said that. No one offered to remake the tea, instead she wanted to reassure me that the girl that had ignored both me and my daughter was truly a nice person. I literally thought maybe we weren't supposed to be talking to her because she was the one making the drinks.. The energy felt passive-aggressive and unnecessarily cold. I've had better experiences here, but today left a bad impression. So unfortunate because I truly do like this place. Why didn't the girl making the drinks Just say oh the cashier will help you momentarily. Just to ignore customers blatantly is so rude. read more

We were looking for a cuppa coffee and wanted to try someplace local. This location came highly recommended on yelp. It is a very large location and they have tons of options not only for coffee but for tea as well. My husband opted for a regular cup of coffee with a shot of espresso. I opted for a hot chocolate, but decided to add peppermint to make a peppermint, hot cocoa. We also opted for a cinnamon roll and their blackberry scone. The hot cocoa was delicious although I wish it would've been a tad warmer. My husband enjoyed his coffee, but he did get a 20 ounce and said that he should've gotten two shots of espresso. The cinnamon roll was good the icing was very yummy and not overly sweet. The blackberry scone was delicious and included real blackberries. They do warm up the baked goods so if you don't want them warmed up, make sure you tell them ahead of time. They have ample seating throughout the venue, and they also have outdoor seating as well. There is street parking available, and when we went, which was a Saturday morning around 10:30 AM we had no problem finding parking. But I can imagine if it were a busy morning or a busier day parking may be a challenge to find. read more

Very kool vibe here. Clearly invested quite a bit in this place. Coffee was perfect blend. The only thing I would add is add Sausage Egg and Cheese or Bacon Egg and Cheese croissant sandwiches for breakfast. Other than that the Blueberry Scone was on point and so were the seating areas. I came here to do some work on my way from Atlanta to 30A. It breaks up the drive nicely and I had no idea Dothan had this in it. The best part is it was right on the way, one block off the road I was driving on. They have a small selection of pastries and the coffee menu is vast. I had a latte with their Chagaccino boost, a natural mushroom based sweetener, which at first was questionable, but it was awesome! Now to the ambiance. The place is large and has an upstairs as well, which was closed the day I was there. The downstairs had large tables, small tables, couches, and single love seats, which is where I ended up. There are outlets everywhere so there is not an issue there. My favorite, and what puts this place over the top, was the laptop carts they have so I could have a place to put my laptop even though I did not have a desk or table...genius! The wifi was fast and the bathrooms clean. Great people watching as well. read more

We were both drawn to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. There is an abundance of very comfortable couches, chairs and benches for sitting and logging in. Electrical outlets were all over the place - talk about getting a good charge, yeah! For her: Loose Leaf Black Forest Tea. Enough to fill her little cup four times. Loved having a latte at this eclectic coffee and tea shop in historic downtown Dothan. The owners have done a superlative job of restoring a brick building as well as building community. The shop was well attended by college students, young family and retirees. The coffee was magical with a whimsical Wizard hat design. If you appreciate moist scones, you will love the blueberry lemon scone. There is outside seating available if you have dogs. read more

This coffee shop is in a great location. The inside space is so neat looking. Local art is on the wall. Fresh roasted coffee beans fill the air. Large windows on the front provide a ton of natural light. The brews are strong and flavorful. Yum yum yum The coffee menu is extensive. The tea bar has a wide range from full bodied teas to decaf light blends. They use paper straws which is a plus. The staff is really knowledgeable about coffee The presentation is wonderful The only complaint I have , and it's a big one, is the hours. My day starts early and I would like to have coffee then. OUTSTANDING COFFEE Being half Italian and half French, I had my first café au lait barely a month off the nipple at 1YO ;) Years have been spent sampling preparations either too milky, not syrupy enough, thin-to-no "crema" or "schiuma"... Mural City is an oasis not just in Dothan, but in the entire LA (Lower Alabama) and panhandle area. Absolutely worth a stop and a second cappuccino. read more

I'm sorry to say I was not impressed with Mural City. There were 5 people "working" behind the counter but the line for coffee and wait time was excessive. The coffee was over sweetened and had a very watered down, lack of actual coffee bean taste. The employees were obnoxious and condescending to everyone in the line. The building and decor/atmosphere were 10 out of 10!!! The place has an upscale coffee house feel with warm decor and furnishings including a fireplace, leather couches, study tables and outdoor seating as well. My suggestion is to get rid of the Karen, hippy type at front counter that fancies herself a dog referee and be customer and product focused. Concentrate on getting a quality cup of Joe out the door while exercising customer service skills, that's why customers come in and pay you - it's not for you to obnoxiously show how different or educated you perceive yourself to be in the realm of baristaring. read more

What a fantastic place. The decor is so trendy and just cool. It looks like you want a coffee shop to look, and it is huge. They have everything you can want as far as coffee and tea. They have some very interesting coffee's available that you have not heard of any where else. I had a 4 shot flat white to start off and it was so flavorful and creamy... really smooth. About two hours later as I had to hit the road so I got a 20 oz french pressed Bugundi. That was a really fantastic cup of coffee. They also have bakery items and other food that you can purchase with your drink. I am not a frilly coffee drinker, or a tea drinker.
