So, Last Friday, I had a tire blowout incident- by Sunday I needed to replace the wheel/tire. So I found the closest tire shop to this Circle K. As I am having my car serviced, im told that they do not accept debit cards- cash only! So I said, "that's fine- Ill go to the ATM" i walk to Circle K, use the atm, say thanks and leave...head back to tire shop. I get there and realize that I've left my wheel in moms vehicle, and now need to purchase a wheel as well. I say, "ok, ill go back to the atm" so I turn around head back to Circle K. This time I needed an odd amount($30), and ATMs give even bills. So I withdraw $40 and am already stressed at this point, I walk up to the counter and ask politely if they can do change for a 20. The clerk rudely says "no, I won't do that, we dont have change here" so I walk to the drink cooler and grab a redbull. I set it on the counter w/1 hand &a 20bill in the other, ready to just purchase a drink. I figured in my head that if they cant do change, they can SURELY let me have my change after I buy something with MONEY, right? NO, the clerk got nasty and disrespectful with me and actually told me this-"you're gonna have to get closer to 20 than that!" Basically telling me that I couldn't just purchase the redbull, I was expected to spend more of my money at "his" store in order to make the transaction and get my change. He goes on to say this after telling me that no I cannot buy this drink...he says-" well- the cats outta the bag now that you just need change so, im not selling that to ya" so i walked out, no drink, or change, no transaction whatsoever and straight across the way to the liquor store- they helped me right away, I told them briefly what had happened and they were so helpful and kind. I offered to buy something and they said there was no need-and handed me change no problem. Apparently they know of the CircleK clerk, he must have a rep for this kind of social misbehavior- Needless to say that this man needs etiquette lessons and maybe a BUSINESS CLASS so that he can learn that you dont ever treat someone that way in a "professional" setting, a stranger, especially your own repeat customer, and a person that was IN NEED at the time, as well as low on funds, like honestly I couldn't even AFFORD THE REDBULL BUT HE WAS SO RUDE I JUST NEEDED MY OWN MONEY BACK, (BUT LESS OF IT!!!!) Like dude, im trying to give money to your business in exchange for my own $$$ seems like he just lost a lot of customers....some people's children.......

It opened a couple months ago right next to all the other gas stations and is making a name for itself with the cheapest prices in town! There is always a line and this place is popping, but the gas is typically the cheapest in town by 10 cents or more. Better than murphy express or king soopers with your card! It has been under $3.00 a gallon for unleaded for weeks now. I don't even get gas in the city anymore. I wait until I get up north to fill up. But wait, there's more. Not only is the gas sheap but the inside is the mecca of gas stations. I mean it blows the really nice kum and gos away. Let's call it the walmart of gas stations. It is huge. I am thinking 10 different kinds of slurpies. Pepsi and coke products. All the medicine, snacks, car stuff you could need. It is a palace in here. And it is clean. This gas station is HORRIBLE and discriminates against people with disabilities. I have a certified…read moretherapy canine who is medically prescribed to me, has all her certifications, vaccinations and is even cleared to fly in the cabin of commercial flights with me. It is imperative that I have her with me, especially in social situations. I went into this gas station this morning for coffee. I walk in the door to find a clerk at the counter with a customer and another clerk over by the beverage cooler. There were a few others around as well. I walk over to get coffee and start chatting with the two employees and one customer at the register. All the sudden the employee in front of the coolers walks behind the counter. We are now a good distance apart. She raises her voice and tells me that I cannot have my therapy canine in the store. My canine was wearing her vest and sitting by my feet. The clerk keeps yelling, loud enough that everyone in the store turns and looks, telling me that Service dogs know not to sniff the ground but Therapy Canines don't. (How she knows my dog and my situation and feels she can make decisions that out weigh my own Physician's is beyond me). I ask her if she is serious and that I have paperwork that makes her legit. The woman kept raising her voice to me until I just walked out the door. At my lunch I decided to try another Diamond Shamrock, right down the road. The clerk even said hello to my canine, and let me have her with no issues. I feel my HIPPA rights were violated and that the woman approached the situation in one of the most rude, degrading, obnoxious, and mean spirited ways I could imagine. What if I had been a child or teenager, would they have treated them that badly too? And why, if such a HUGE policy, is there no sticker on the door, and the first clerk that saw me and my canine said absolutely nothing? I will NEVER go to this gas station again. In my two years of having a certified canine, I have NEVER had an issue. I have taken her everywhere from restaurants, United Airline flights, Funeral home, Dentist, GROCERY STORE and anywhere else you can think of. (which these all are a hell of a lot cleaner places than a nasty gas station. I wouldn't let my dogs lick the floor in there. Nasty) So, if you have issues or are handicapped, don't go here, they won't accommodate or help and will make sure that you are brought to everyone's attention..

I called back about an hour later when I noticed and the woman that answered said I could not be helped because she was with customers and to come back when a manager was around.
