I found it extremely difficult to get ahold of my assigned attorney and when I did, they seemed disinterested and unengaged. I continually had to follow up with them myself to get updates on my case, and when I did finally speak to their clerks, it was clear they hadn't even read my file or were not informed of the specifics of my situation. Secondly, the billing process was a complete mess. I received multiple different invoices with different amounts and descriptions of services provided. When I tried to discuss this with the accounting department, I was met with rudeness and impatience. It felt like they were just trying to squeeze as much money out of me as possible without providing any clear explanation for the charges. I have to find another law firm to sort out the mess that this firm allowed and by mess, I mean the drawn up paperwork makes no sense and is completely incorrect. You never actually hear from an attorney. Case manger Nayeli, was extremely unresponsive. She rarely answered the phone, ignored voicemails and emails for weeks at a time, and frequently promised to call on specific dates but never followed through. My case dragged on for over a year after treatment was completed. Even after everything was supposedly resolved, they delayed releasing my check for another month. I was told documents couldn't be sent via DocuSign (which turned out to be untrue) just to force me to come in person. When I finally received the check, it was a very significant amount less than what was promised over the phone. She then claimed the reduction was due to medical bills that "couldn't be negotiated," despite telling me earlier they had already been taken care of. Overall, this firm was dishonest, unprofessional, and provided a very poor experience.

I should have hired Sheneneh Jenkins' lawyer (Ronnie Cochran) instead. Anyway, I'm done supporting Black businesses. They don't appreciate you or your support. I had high hopes when I came across this law firm, thinking they were good people who were willing to work for us and not just for a money grab. If criminal defense is not your strong suit, don't take the case. If you're the face of the firm and you only work with "high-profile" cases, then don't pass me over to one of your staff members that I know nothing about -- or how well they perform in certain areas of their legal field. If you don't have your staff (other attorneys) listed on your website, that's a red flag. I was definitely blindsided when I thought I would be working with the attorney whose face is all over the website advertising his credentials but not mentioning or showing the other attorneys at the firm. This attorney conveniently left out the fact that he ONLY works with celebrities. That's false advertising. The attorney who is the face of the firm assigned me to an unknown with little to no experience in criminal defense or time management.
