And as soon as I told the cashier it was a life changing revelation that they had no tea, and he was overwhelmed with how many customers were there (literally 3 people). This is lame. While the store itself is rather clean, I think the problem lies with management and the lack of competency to hire people who know what they are doing and the lack of work ethic to show those people how to do the job and instead opting for sitting them down in front of a computer screen and having them watch "modules" that do a poor job at telling them how to do the job, (I know this because I used to work there for three months). I saw an employee try to show a customer who lacked the brain cells to pay for his stuff, how to work the card machine and the store manager Ben was yelling at her when she was just trying to do her job and it was holding up the line. Keep in mind the store manager didn't even take the time to help his people out even after passing by like four times while this is happening. I've also heard and experienced for myself that the management there doesn't care for people with mental disabilities who want to work there and even go as far as to try to set those mentally disabled people up to get fired by putting them in scenarios that trigger them. Sometimes they even straight up fire those disabled people for no reason and make up excuses so they don't have to give them special treatment, (I have autism and DID and they did this to me and even called me retarded straight to my face saying "We don't need retards causing trouble at our store." which I was extremely confused by and upset by at the same time). Don't shop here, the people here are either stuck up or lack the brain cells to help you or even a mixture of both. (When I say lack the brain cells I mean they are Neurotypical and stupid)

#93/2022 Well this is a quick update here a lot of changes…read morehave taken place since I started the first yelping back in 2016 this is one of the first places I reviewed. Wow I haven't realized it's been that long LOL. I think I maybe had to yelp friends at the time? Lot of times rolling up out of Charlotte I'd like to take 321 out of Gastonia up towards hickory and jump on I-40 and go over Black mountain into the Asheville area. The old Exxon Mart is still there they still have truck parking the cafe still has good home cooking however the last few months staffing is really taking a major hit. So basically as of around Halloween of 2022 they now close on Saturday nights not just the restaurant but the whole facility and they stay closed all day Sunday now. There's not really any time frame as if they're going to be back again they are 24/7 though during the week until Saturday night at 10:00 p.m.. For the restaurant is there there's a third shift and you can get good home cooking and grub along with everything else they still don't have showers; but that is the one big change is currently they do shut down at 10:00 at night and the whole facility does not open up until Monday

To my knowledge, there are four of them, two in Cornelius and two in Huntersville although this one is on the edge of both Cornelius and Huntersville. Been going to them for years but this is probably the one least visited because of proximity to where I lived in Cornelius. Now that I have moved to Denver, I drive by it every day and have more reason to stop in. In the old days when I smoked, I would occasionally buy cigarettes here and an occasional lottery ticket. Most of the Cashion Stores are very friendly but for some reason, the folks here are not very friendly nor are they very helpful or organized. In the past couple of months, have stopped in several time for gas and the has not changed for any the better, Thankfully with gas, you normally pay at the pump so at least you can minimize contact. Only gas station in the immediate area so if you're low on gas, good idea to fill up otherwise drive a bit further and find someplace else.
