When I dropped off some children's books on 12.23.2024 I noticed there were only a handful of ratty children's books. No young adult or adult choices. If you don't know how little libraries work, you're supposed to bring a book to trade for one. It's a borrowing system. Hence, the inclusion of the word "library." Just because it's free doesn't mean you shouldn't take care of it. This little library was very well-kept on 12.23.2024…read more It's inside the downtown mini mall in Hobbs, New Mexico. Therefore, it is not accessible after hours. Somebody had taken the time to organize it and keep it tidy. This was one of the few little libraries that had adult books. Five stars due to the fact that it was so well maintained with the cutest white shelving unit.

These are community book libraries, which offer books for all ages either for free or to borrow. Sharing is caring! It's located at Heiser Park and is visible from the street. Heizer Park Little Library: 110 E. Stanolind Rd There were hardly any books and this little library when I came to drop some off on 12.23.2024. This was the hardest box to open and close. How are kids supposed to access this on their own if they wanted to? Please be gentle with the books so others can foster the love of reading. Do not let anyone selfishly or recklessly rummage through them. The Little Library at Del Norte Park in Hobbs, New Mexico, is near the first playground as you…read moreenter the park. Parking is free and ample. As of 12.23.2024, the library was not well maintained. Books were rummaged through and bent out of shape. Even more disturbing was the fact that the whole unit had been shifted upon the concrete in which it sat. I still have to give four stars for this one because donors are still volunteering their reads to the program. Please teach your children (and unruly adults) to be gentle with books and to treat them with respect so that others may foster a love of reading.
