Over the last few years, the quality of care at this office has significantly declined. Before the provider entered the room, two staff members were loudly discussing my labs, medications, and personal medical information to each other from a clear distance where I could hear one person near my door and the other further away. It made me extremely uncomfortable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I brought it up to the nurse practitioner seeing me, it was brushed off instead of acknowledged or apologized for, which only made the situation worse.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The appointment itself felt rushed, and my concerns were not really addressed. By that point, I was already feeling uncomfortable and dismissed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What disappointed me most was the response afterward. When I told the front desk I would not be rescheduling and would be switching doctors because I felt the situation was unprofessional, I was told, "I don't think so, but OK." Very disappointed with this office. At my recent appointment, my lab work had been completed at LabCorp weeks prior, yet they did not have the results available, resulting in a wasted $50 visit and time off work. This has happened before, when I showed up for a scheduled mammogram, the imaging center had not received the referral from Ayala's office. My husband and I just started going to this office about a month ago. We had such a great experience. One of the ladies from the desk answerd and put me on hold. Fifteen minutes later they hung up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As they ended the call, I arrived at the clinic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All the ladies were laughing and talking amongs themselvs. It is frusterating to see lazy workers. It is their job to answer the phones and answer questions. But no. I recently retired from military and trying to establish my new PCM. I was impressed with ratings on other platforms and their website it seems like they have a lot of great means to provide care.. Lack of bed side manner and quality of care. I have only seen Joanna Ayala twice you get tossed around to different Physicians Assistant whether in office or telehealth. The last telehealth appointment for results which I assumed was with a PA turned our to be one of the staff which pretended to be a dr. I contacted my insurance to verify this supposed Dr no such person. You can never get a hold of anyone in the Riverside office. I never knew what to expect or who I was going to be seeing PA, Dr or Staff impersonating a Dr. Stay away if your health matters. read more

I was highly disappointed with Dr. Ayala and her staff. During my time as a patient there for about 18 months, there were a number of red flags. There is a significant lack of communication between the provider and her office staff. Messages are not delivered or responded to. I initially saw the physician's assistant as I could not get a timely appointment with Dr. Ayala. Once I saw the PA, I was told that the PA was now my "provider" and I would need to see her going forward. When I had two areas of my skin that needed to be biopsied, I was told I needed to make an appointment first with the PA, then she would "refer" me to Dr. Ayala. Then I would need to see Dr. Ayala and then come back for the biopsy. After several conversations, I was able to skip the office visit with the PA. I then saw Dr. Ayala for the consultation and the next day for the biopsy. 10 days later, the office called me to make an appointment to get the results. The punch biopsy sites had healed completely, there were no stiches, yet I was asked to pay for yet another visit to "get results". In addition, their "patient portal" does not post lab results or office notes. If you want to get results via the patient portal, you must first call the office, they will then send you a "secure link" to access the portal and you can then submit a message or request. You must follow this process each time you want to access the patient portal! Another instance of poor care was when I came down with a positive covid test a few months ago. I had a telephonic visit with the PA and was told that at age 60 and despite taking medication for my blood pressure, I did not qualify for Paxlovid. I had to insist on speaking to Dr. Ayala who agreed immediately that Paxlovid was indicated and subsequently prescribed. This office insists that you come in every three months for an office visit and full blood panel even when your health is completely stable with no changes. I recently changed insurance and needed to move to a new provider. Dr. Ayala refused to give me a one month refill on my medications that would tide me over until I could see my new provider unless I made a cash appointment for an office visit and labs. I was advised that my only other option was to go to urgent care to renew my medications. Dr. Ayala's office has terrible customer service. It's so hard to get a message delivered or returned, hard to see the provider of your choice, and even harder to get your lab and test results. I do not recommend this provider. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST DOCTOR's OFFICE IN THE I.E.!!! The front desk girls are incompetent, rude and don't answer the phones, so you literally have to go into the office for every single thing including questions or appointments. They can't get simple lab orders right so you have to go in again multiple times. I've been going to this office for over 8 years and the last two years I've noticed the customer service has gone down the drain and nobody speaks English. Absolutely the worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in my life. I have never actually seen the doctor, only her NP, yet they believe that pre-charging $180 for a visit to see a someone with nothing more than a nursing degree regardless of your insurance coverage is a reasonable billing policy. When I refused, they refused to refill my maintenance medication script and told me it's not their problem. Apparently their "policy" is that you have to see the glorified nurse every 3 months (at $180 a pop) just to get maintenance med refills. I have been taking this medication for 15 years, and every other doctor requires yearly med checks for it. This is ridiculously greedy and actually harmful behavior from a supposed medical professional. Avoid this "doctor" at all costs. UPDATE: The doctor took the opportunity to "educate" me on how insurance works in her reply to me, rather than actually help me. As someone who has had insurance for 25+ years, Dr. Ayala, I am fully aware of how deductibles, copays and coinsurance work. The amount I actually would owe you for my visit is $49.58. This is something your billing department can easily check and you could charge me that actual amount at time of service rather than an arbitrary $180. Or, you could bill me once my insurance comes back with their EOB. This is what every other doctor I have ever visited in my 43 years of life does. You should take this incident and review as an opportunity to fix your patient-last policies, rather than as an opportunity to "educate" me on health insurance. read more

Let me just say I've been with this clinic for closer to a year and I Have NEVER seen the actual Doctor or even talked to her. So shame on that. Besides that I've been dealing with Linda Anderson BEST PA I've ever had. She is very fast on sending labs or getting things done for me. I absolutely love her. I am only coming for her and only request to see her. The bad side is she is so busy appointments are very scarce and about a month out :( read more

They never call you back when they tell you they will to follow up with a conversation you had, appointments are never available, and I have had to pay out of pocket 3x because they are incompetent when it comes to prescriptions and scheduling the appointments in time. It's been a few months but I neglected to update my review to reflect my LAST encounter with this practice. Upon seeing this review, of course I received this response on Yelp. But to add insult to injury, Dr. Ayala, who I never met managed to figure out who I was. My Yelp page doesn't reflect my government name (Not that I was hiding, I forgot!) She called me on a SATURDAY to make excuses and assign blame for the inconsistency in her office practices. Clearly, a Yelp review was more of concern for the office than actually engaging me in person for understanding and remediation. However, inappropriate and inconsiderate to call me on the weekend, when you were in office during the week and only responded because of the public review. Patients stay clear. You are not a priority for this office. It's a patient mill and you are just a billable 30 minutes. read more

I was a brand new patient to this office and to be honest if not for the office staff I'd still be a patient. Dr. Campa was a wonder doctor and gave very helpful and informative counseling but unfortunately working with his staff is no longer an option. Following my appointment with Dr Campa I was left in my exam room for an additional 45 minutes. When the lights went out in the room I walked out and asked if they knew I was still in the room awaiting my lab orders and prescription, they said they knew it had been awhile and that I could go. I waited to hear back on the lab orders and eventually called the office, after a few attempt at contact someone texted me that my orders had been sent out to LabCorp and I could just go in. I had to make a follow up call to confirm if I needed to fast or not as I was not instructed either way (Fasting WAS required). I fasted and went to the Menifee LabCorp as it's open before I have to be at work, unfortunately they had sent my orders to another location and they were unable to help me, I was not told what location my orders were sent to. I followed up this experience by calling the office requesting a call back regarding these issues, they will not call me back or respond. I would highly suggest you not use this office, their staff is shockingly dismissive and unhelpful. Save yourself the frustration and time I waisted, new patients are not welcome at this office. read more

I have only been seen once in person but my experience with the provider was wonderful. I was seen by Alyssa Coleman. She was very attentive, friendly and explained in detail what she was doing and why. I Typically have spoken with Victor when I make the appointments or call for prescriptions, and he is incredibly helpful and always gives wonderful customer service. I wrote this practice a 5-star review previously because my then PA was excellent and caring. When she was gone, I was assigned to a PA named Casmine (?). He's been a PA from hel* to me, along with Michelle the medical assistant. I feel like I've been a victim of egregious abuse of "power from them. Never had so many problems like this before. Some time ago, a MD told me (after an in person examination of an existing condition) that I should ask my PCP for a referral and get a biopsy done from a specialist. But Kasmine who has never seen me in person seemed to think he was smarter than the MD. He was dragging it on knowing that this was my the most scary issue to me. Instead of either do the referral or reject it (and simply tell me why he felt differently than the MDs.) In the mean time, he does orders (or do duplicates) differently than what was discussed and decided during the televisit - leaving me in confusion. Michelle is quite rude and treats me like an underling. Probably I have more education than she does and am older. How about show some respect at least for my age? Casmine wanted me to send in some pics for the needed referral. I had it all ready, but he said I had to send it as a reply to his text, not by email. His text never came for a long time. Finally one day Michelle told me to come in so they could take a pic themselves in the back room. When I went in (was a dry triple digit hot day, lovely for my dry eyes and I am in a high risk group for Covid19), she took my phone and went thru my texts. She gave me some dumb excuses for it. While I played polite, I was offended. After verifying that there was no text from them on my phone, she gave me their email address and told me to go home and email the pic's in. Why not take a pic or Kasmine take a look at it himself since I am already there? But I maintained politeness and left. I wanted to get it done and the quickest way seemed to be do whatever they told me to. Then she told me to rewrite the HIPPA clause. She said that HIPPA was needed because I was using email to send the pic's to them. Ten days later, I follow up. They tell me that they submitted thru "Econsult", but it was rejected. But Econsult/insurance tells me a different story. If privacy is applicable, i never authorized them to share my file with "econsult." I have no idea what. Just ridiculous. Finally sought help from Dr Ayala who owns the practice. She seemed super sweet and indicated that she'd take a corrective action. But nothing happened and I found myself in the same old holding pattern stuck with miserable people. So I finally switched to a new PCP. It means that I have to start over and it's going to cost me dearly. But better now than months from now. Shame because Dr Ayala sounded like a lovely person and I liked her. And my prev PA at this office always did things exactly what she said she would do, done in a timely manner, and even sent me an auto notification when a referral was made. Today was my first visit with this office and my experience was very pleasant. The front staff and medical assistant were friendly. I was seen by Scherezade Egan. I was extremely apprehensive about being seen for my medical concern. However, she was very professional and made me feel comfortable. She was knowledgeable, competent and friendly. I found Dr. Ayala when I was in severe pain, I was not very happy with my previous doctor. I decided to change to her office in a matter of hours. I called the office and Michelle helped me, she guided me step by step of what I had to do. After that morning and verifying that my insurance was change they where able to see me that same day in the afternoon. Michelle has been a great help getting me a referral to a surgeon and Laura has been patient enough with me when I keep bugging about paperwork for my work! If I could I would rate them -10 stars, The Doctors are on the phone and are not even in the same country as most of their staff. Its almost impossible to get an appointment in person, they call you to let you know your refills are ready, ask for blood pressure and its literally a 1 minute call, but they charge you and they not even let you know you will get billed for a call you did not ask for and they say its a nurse visit wtf?? is it even legal to charge you for a call from a random person In Mexico ?? So I was very friendly and talked to one of her staff members, and there you go, they work in Mexico from home never have been in the office, get payed 4 dls an hour, and are not allowed to give their full name, So an top of being rude, having no manners at all, they have something very illegal going on with their staff, would never put my health in Jeopardy with people like this again.!! read more

Worst experience at a doctor's office! I went to this place to find a doctor in my location. When I scheduled my first appointment the extremely rude receptionist had no intention to hell me. I was hung up on after I explained why I wanted to see a doctor. I called right back and received attitude from the receptionist. Finally scheduled my appointment a month and a half out. I told her I was running out of an important medication and she said there was nothing that she could do. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said they were not there. So a month and a half goes by, I arrive at my appointment 20 min early to fill out paperwork. The receptionist was at her desk (not on the phone) starring at the computer. Stood there for a minute, then asked if I needed to sign in. She said have a seat. 3 different customer's walk in behind me and she gladly helps them. Then after 10 minutes go by I walk to the desk saying I'm a new patient and need to fill out paperwork. She didn't say a word and gave me a clip board. Seems like she racist and didn't want to help me. I let the dr know that I have been treated unfairly and the receptionist doesn't deserve to have that job. After the 3 people behind me go in and waiting 50 min to see a dr I was furious. I will never be returning here and advise new clients looking for a new Dr. DO NOT GO HERE! Horrible customer service. They called to confirm apt and she said they messed up and first apt would only be an intake for new patient and I needed to make additional apt. She was rude again with scheduling. I came to apt after getting lost and talking to someone on the phone letting them know I was struggling with the location since i'm very new to the area. She said that's fine see you soon. I walked in 2 minutes to late and was told they could not see me. The lady at the desk was rude and talked under her breathe to another girl about a patient while sitting in the lobby. If I could give no stars I would. I never feel the need to write reviews but yesterday was my breaking point with this practice. I had an appointment for this morning that I have now cancelled due to the incompetence of the staff at Murrieta primary care. I've never seen Dr. Ayala here only the NP Browning. Nothing against NP's but this woman didn't seem to know what she was doing. I have an autoimmune disease & from my first appointment, she showed me that she had little to no knowledge about it. Yesterday, her office sent me the reminder call for the appointment I had today. Cool. Then, I get a call from Catalina telling me that ms. Browning is off work today but she wants to know what the appointment is for tomorrow. I let her know that I was coming in to be seen and that I'd talk to browning tomorrow. A couple of hours pass & Catalina calls me again. This time, she asks the same question and adds in that my medications for my condition are taken care of. That Browning wants to know why I'm coming in tomorrow to be seen. At this point I'm livid. Why does it matter to anyone why I need to go in to see my provider? Especially the provider? Made me feel like she didn't want to see me all. I told her to tell Browning to mind her f**king business and that I'll be switching providers. I called my insurance and changed providers and an hour later I get a call from a "no caller ID". It's Browning telling me that she's calling me on her day off (I'm honored!!!!) and that the girls from the office called her and she wanted to know what was going on. I let her know that I was coming in for an ER follow up and that I talked to the front desk before I went to the ER and she told me to go saying that she had been through what I thought was happening to me. Told me to keep my original appointment and just go to the ER. That's what I did. I hope this lady learns her lesson and takes her days off as just that. Days off. Idk what she was trying to do with all this but I hope to God someone sets her straight there. It's not anyone's business as to why I want to come in to be seen. Point blank. If she used all of that energy on actually doing her job, she wouldn't have these bad reviews. Learn to listen to people more & not cut them off when you're seeing the EDIT: Dr. Ayala called me and tried to do damage control. I'm not going to say Dr Ayala is not a good doctor, I believe she can be a great doctor but her staff holds her back due to not getting things completed by your next visit. The staff is supposed to have what is needed for the doctor and when you go in the doctor is looking for the paperwork. The staff seems to busy on their phones watching their shows. Then they want you to do their work and request things from your previous doctors. I gave this a year and every visit was I'm sorry they haven't got your paperwork then finally the staff asked me if I could get it myself as she was watching a show on her phone. This was the final straw, I went to another doctor and they obtained all my paperwork within a month. I think if Dr Ayala would redo her whole staff she would get an opportunity to show what kind of doctor she can be. read more

Horrible horrible experience so far.... you can't call this office and speak to a human being. It's a voice mail- and they call you back at their convenience, which is sometimes never. The office visit was ok. However, we needed to be referred to two different specialists, a neurologist and a orthopedic surgeon, both ALSO had HORRIBLE reviews. This office, doesn't seem to care where they send the patients. When I've called to try and get a new referrals to another dr in our medical group, surprise surprise no call back. If I can rate this office no star I would, but I have to rate it at least 1 star to post this review. I have 2 complaint about this office! First complaint: I made an appointment for a well women annual check up with Dr. Ayala for November 21, 2019 but I was seen by a PA Danielle Cantwell. I have had women annual check up plenty of times within my 51 years of life. But this day the PA Danielle Cantwell did not perform Pap smear or breast check. The only thing she did was check my breathing, eyes, ears and ordered lab work and a mammogram. I was babbled with the type of medical service I have received for my annual check up. Second complaint: On December 5, 2019 I made an appointment with Dr. Ayala's office and I was seen with PA Danielle Cantwell for a sore throat. She says it's a virus to buy Mucinex and Day Quil and if I don't get better by next week call her and she can call in prescription for me. Through out the weekend my symptoms got worst. On Monday December 9, 2019 I woke up with loss of voice, coughing, fever, cold and draining in the back of my throat. I called the Dr. Ayala's office to get seen by a physician the receptionist ask why do I want to get seen for? So, I told her my symptoms and as she entered my name into the system she found out that I have seen PA Danielle Cantwell before that she is not in the office and they don't have any opening and they also require that I get seen by the same provider. I said to the receptionist that I need to get seen due to my symptoms she says she will send a message to PA Danielle Cantwell and as soon as she reply back the office will call me back. I never heard from their office that day. The following day (December 10, 2019) my symptoms got worst so I went ahead to the ER, since I didn't hear from Dr. Ayala's office. I was diagnosed by the ER doctor Bronchitis, ear infection and Laryngitis. On this day I didn't hear from Dr. Ayala's office again and the office told me that Danielle would be back from the office the day before. The following day Wednesday (December 11, 2019) I called Dr. Ayala's office and I told them I still haven't heard from PA Danielle Cantwell, and I left a message on Monday. Front office says we have sent her the message and they usually doesn't return call back until the end of the day or 1-2 days after. I said ok, I just need her to call me so she can prescribe cough medicine for me as you can hear I have no voice. Then receptionist says ok I will let her know. Friday (December 13, 2019) comes around I did not hear from Dr. Ayala's office. Today I am still recovering from all of my symptoms. My ear infection were so bad that it did not get caught on time I am hearing ringing in my ear constantly. What a shame that there is no patient care and no professionalism toward patients from this office. Me and my family are new to this office and I will definitely will be taking my family out of this office due to this matter. read more

This office is IMPOSSIBLE! If you have to get a refill on meds or a general appt. Be prepared to wait 6 weeks. The entire office seems much more preoccupied trying to do promotion videos and schedule vampire facials, that being a primary doctor falls to the wayside. Every time I call, I end up in tears out of frustration. Changing primary ASAP. read more

Most of the ladies that answer the appt desk are not great. I was given an appt for my follow up, a telemedicine appt. Scheduled at 340pm. I called the morning of to confirm time and that I would receive a call and that I didn't need to call the office. I was told I would receive a call between 340 and 4pm. At 407pm I hadn't received a call so I called the office. I'm told she is finishing up with someone and that the window is actually until 5pm! So NOT a 20 min window. Apparently she was calling me as I was calling out as I received a VM to call back into the office. Literally two minutes later I do exactly that, except there's no answer three times! I finally get through and I'm told that she's moved on to another patient, within my appt time and shell call me back and that the appt window time is actually one hour! So I questioned her, which one is it? 20 min, 2 hours or 1 hour as today I have been told three different things by three different ladies. Get it together! If my appt was in office I would not have a large appt window like that and I'm sure they would adhere to their late appt policy if I were the one keeping them waiting. read more
