I visited Museo Kaluz when I was in Mexico City a week or so ago. The museum is located at one corner of Alameda Central, near several other attractions (Museo del Pulque, Museo Mural Diego Rivera, Museo Franz Mayer, Museo Memoria y Tolerancia, and more...). When I visited, their temporary exhibit was "El jardín de Velasco," an exhibit of the works of Mexican landscape painter and botanist José María Velasco (1840-1912). I wasn't familiar with Velasco, and I enjoyed learning about him through the exhibit. The building is beautiful, but the museum is on the smaller side. With a nominal entrance fee of $95 mxn, it's worth visiting if you're interested in the exhibit. But if you're not, I wouldn't recommend Museo Kaluz. It doesn't have a permanent collection, so you need to be interested in the temporary exhibit to make a visit worthwhile. It isn't one of my favorite museums in Mexico City, but if there's an exhibit you're interested in, it would certainly be worth a visit! read more
