This small museum is adjacent to a parish church in Roma. The museum has been on my must-visit list for a long time, but the hours are extremely limited (mon - fri, 10-1) so I had a hard time visiting with my work schedule. Finally, when summer vacation began, I had the opportunity to go.
This museum is very small and is exclusively about the life and martyrdom of Father Miguel Pro, SJ. If you aren't interested in him, it won't be interesting to you. I, however, adore Pro and wanted to learn more about him. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of Pro's personal possessions this museum has. There is a lot of information about Pro and the political background to his execution, but all information and materials are in Spanish.
At the entrance/exit to the museum, some books, posters and postcards are sold. I picked up a comic book about Pro's life. Viva Cristo Rey! read more
