Inside Voice fit the bill from my first lesson. Jonathan met me and my voice right where it was with care, while clearly sitting in his knowledge and expertise. But Scott offers so much more! Due to the pandemic everything has gone virtual and because of Pearson Studios I was able to pivot during the pandemic. Scott also has a state of the art recording studio and is a fabulous sound engineer and videographer. I now have a commercial voice-over demo (which landed me a commercial agent and a few v/o gigs), and also very professional self-tapes for my theatre and tv/film auditions. Not only does he offer his accompaniment and coaching skills, but he uses a professional microphone and protools, and a very fancy camera and back drop which totally ups my game! I have a 14 yr old daughter who's dream is to be on broadway. She loves singing but her passion is much bigger than her voice. During the three-hour course, Alonsa and James taught us how to paint Van Gogh style from start to finish. Though three hours may seem like a long time, the time really flew by as we painted. I was happy with my finished painting (which is hanging on the wall in a place of honor at my place). The price point is competitive for the level of expertise that Alonsa and James provide. Alonsa and James make the class special. You can easily tell they enjoy teaching the class and sharing their knowledge of art and art history. Their personalities complement each other and make the class fun. The studio/gallery - The space also serves as a work studio so you can see works-in-progress by Alonsa and James. Additionally the space is a gallery of work from local artists. Several pieces depicted the local landscape of Bay Ridge (the Verrazano, the bay, etc.), which I thought was pretty cool.
