What a fantastic job they have done. Cinema lab is the company responsible for the redesign. They have a Theatre that they redid in South Orange, New Jersey. As well as in Colorado. Now there's a beautiful pub upstairs where you can get drinks and food as well. I had a delicious dry aged burger with french fries. The service was great and the food reasonably priced and the burger juicy delicious great flavor. Crispy french fries The theater room itself is really very nice now. Bigger screen. Upgraded sound system. Very comfortable chairs. Not like the rocking chair reclining seats at AMC. But these are wonderful. It's a whole nice experience you can go and have some food and drinks in the pub even if you're not going to see a movie. But it's perfect place to go for dinner and a movie. A lot nicer than just dragging off to AMC for a ridiculously priced popcorn and Microwaved food. Definitely come here and check out the pub and of course catch a movie in the theaters downstairs The Theatre building itself is 100 years old. For 40 years, I have passed the Playshop - tucked right between my church and our favorite park - and just never had the itch or opportunity to see a show there. What a stroke of better-late-than-never luck that my friend had two tickets to a play that she couldn't use. I took my daughter recently and we had a wonderful time. The performance was great and very well cast, the crowd was buzzing and full of happy local families, and the space was super cozy on a cold December night. You can eat everything from fried dough (as big as your face) to BBQ chicken to chili dogs to corn on the cob - and then worry about keeping it all down as you ride the various daredevil rides (or play it safe on the Ferris wheel or merry-go-round). There's a big midway filled with games for all skill levels and promising prizes of epic proportions. It's been going on for 60+ years and continues to be a huge draw in the area. Don't let the $8 entry dissuade you if you're into this sort of thing - remember it benefits the Bridgewater volunteer fire department (you know, guys and women risking their lives for us just because). No beer, however, might legitimately dissuade you - because the only thing more entertaining than a redneck festival is a drunk redneck festival (you or them).
