The owners are very welcoming and helpful, as I was travelling with a friend Doug was trying to save us from paying for two rooms and giving various suggestions to sharing, which I felt was very nice of him. Coming from downtown noisy Toronto, I appreciated the peacefulness of this lovely house. Did I mention the rooms are gorgeous, clean and comfy. Love the place and highly recommend.

I'm assuming it's a pull-out couch? I love love love baths so read and relaxed for a while in it last night The room was big and I had lots of space. Parking was free as was WIFI (it was quick). I had a mini fridge, coffee machine and microwave oven in the room. There is a pub in the lobby and that's where I had supper last evening. It was nice not having to go far for a bite to eat. Our room ended up in the annex section. Behind the hotel is open green space that I'm pretty sure belongs to the hotel, and backs onto the Otonabee River. It's very pretty and picturesque and I think a nice place for like an outdoor wedding. Our room itself was pretty standard. We had a queen bed, couch, coffee table, flat screen TV, microwave and small fridge. The bathroom is small and is just the toilet and bath tub. The sink is outside of the bathroom. There's a gym and a pool, neither of which were used by us. Lots of free parking. The breakfast area is nice. Since our stay was during the Covid-19 Pandemic (not our preferred time to travel, but our journey was ultimately for an interment), the hot food was served in "to-go" pre-packaged servings by an attendant (it was a breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese on an English muffin when we were there). The attendant also serves you coffee and tea. Everything else is single serving individually wrapped and you can serve yourself with those (e.g bottled juice, yogurt, packaged pastries, granola bars, etc.). The dining room was open, with tables spaced out, but we opted to eat in our own room. I was satisfied with the Covid precautions. We paid around $120 a night. I would stay here again. Hopefully next time under happier circumstances, both personally and from a global health perspective.

It is one of the very few places that lets you pay for a room with cash, while most other places require a credit card. Though our particular room was tiny, it seemed that they do a lot with the small space you get, as you get a mini fridge, a microwave, and a good selection of satellite channels. As well, it appears to be one of the lowest priced if not the lowest priced motel in Peterborough, and we were lucky that there was a room available, even though we went in the shoulder season, just after school-age students had gone back to school. It is rather minimalist in the food and drink offerings (no vending machines for food and drink), but for I and my husband, we tend to bring our own food and drink, so it was not that critical for us.

There is NO AIRCONDITIONING in the cottages and they charge like $200/night for them. The beds are so uncomfotable too. There was no picnic table at our cottage and we had to drag 80 lb chairs over so we had a place to sit. You can't go in the water without shoes on or your feet will be lacerated beyond recognition. The "restaurant" takes literally an hour to get you your food and it's not even all that great. I wish I had read the reviews before going there for the weekend. For the money we paid we could have gone on an all-inclusive trip to a luxury resort in the Carribbean that actually has a beach and good service! Save your money and go somewhere else where your business is actually appreciated. The owners don't care at all about the customer and all they want is their money!

Owner Olga will never accept responsibility for anything and will try to put the blame on customer. If you use a credit card they will charge 4% surcharge. Wifi is slow and costs extra.
