Everything is artfully arranged and I wanted to buy many of their goods. I ended up walking out with some infused olive oil and some fancy salt. I started with a plain latte which was spot on! I also had a smoothie bowl (the blue beachy one). I got the small and it was good. I would probably add some more fruit next time. The other side of Queen City is a large room with tables for meetings and studying plus some comfy chairs and couches for lounging. Some colleagues and I met here for about two hours. Perfect spot. Others around our table tried specialty coffees, the avocado toast and the PBJ. That PBJ looked delicious. The avo toasts were topped with everything spices. Really chill space. I got a new summer drink, the Sunset, to take on the road. Very good. The only down side of the entire visit might have been the music but remember we were there for two hours. Some might find it relaxing. If I lived here, I would make this a daily stop.

I do love, love, love live plants so my husband talked me into going to the farm. I am SO glad I did!! I would've missed out on one of the best visits ever!! Upon arrival we met Suzanne and Skip-Two of the nicest, most genuine people I have had the pleasure of meeting. Suzanne had some fresh baked lavender chocolate chip cookies-ummmm, wow & yum! Their gift shop was warm and cozy and had a good variety of Lavendar items; cream, lip balm, candles, t-shirts and several items you could use to cook with. I bought my daughter a lavender shirt, it's her current favorite color and then I couldn't resist pepper w/lavendar and also fresh honey. Suzanne also gave me a little baggie of fresh lavender for my daughter and I to try in our favorite dessert recipe. After that, Skip drove us around the farm and they showed us their beautiful cabins, a really nice sized pond, their amazing view (you can physically see all the way to Leonard, Ok) and all their varieties of lavender plants. It was neat to hear Skip light up about a new variety of lavender they were expecting to come in. Suzanne told us all about their summer festival (which we WILL be back for) and the told us about their vision to minister the word. We loved ever bit of our experience with them! What an amazing experience!

While some of their beds were not in bloom yet, it's a relaxing place to visit. The store offers lots of lavender-centric items: eye pillows, sachets, candles, soaps, lotions. There's a few spice options and lavender sugar as well. The owners, Suzanne and Skip, are great to chat with. If you want to purchase plants, I would call ahead and make sure they have some for purchase. I got the impression they grow mostly for their own fields. They are planning a festival on June 17 which sounds like fun!

This is one of the best ways to get to know your growers and where your products come from. My husband and I go each Saturday during farmer's market season, and I challenge myself to only spend $20 to see what I can come up with for a meal for the two of us, or maybe find some self care items that can help us in our everyday life. This year's market has had quite the variety from Fungi to Freeze-Dried,from Handpies, Honey, to Veggies, and Fruit and stuff in between. There have been some great demonstrations this year as well by the OSU Extension and chance to talk to local master gardeners as well. Today, my husband and I stopped by, and I found a new tea to try and a couple of new Freeze-Dried goodies for my snack cabinet. The tea is a detox tea(which will come in handy), and the freeze-dried goodies were a cotton candy and watermelon freeze-dried taffy. Get out and explore your farmer's market, you never know what you will find each week.
