Well, it took me about 60 minutes to get here today as I made an appointment to see Mateo who was recommended to help me out with grooming my beard. You may say what's the big deal about grooming a beard.... Well their is a difference. You see growing a good beard and mustache takes time and dedication and once you have a solid foundation built, it is hard to just let anyone groom or trim it unless you trust they know what they are doing. Easy to remove hair but it can't be undone if you know what I mean. Same thing with a haircut really. So upon arriving I was greeted and staff were very friendly.... I arrived early and decided to chill out and I have to say they have a nice setup for customers to hang out and wait. Comfortable sofas to spare and even a pool table if you feel like playing some pool while you wait as well. Also some cool pictures and pairings all around the shop that were both interesting and cool. This shop is located inside a warehouse district in the Doral area which should not be a problem but I did notice that parking was a little scarce, so on busy days parking could be a problem. So after a bit, I was next at bat and made my way over to Mateo's chair. After some discussion, he knew what I was looking for and proceeded to provide me with great shave, beard grooming and trimming of my handlebar mustache. I was a little nervous at first but he quickly put me at ease and most importantly went slow. Overall, it was a great experience and well worth the trip to Doral. Pretty sure the other barbers there are great as well but I will definitely be visiting Mr. Mateo again in a couple of weeks. Hope this helps and feel free to give them a shot! read more

Went to get my sons haircut and the barber nodded his head to my husbands request and did the exact opposite. Come to find out the barber doesn't speak English. It's UNACCEPTABLE! I've been coming to Mustache Barbershop for about 3-4 years, and I've had a great experience with many different barbers. Currently, I get my hair cut by Israel and Santiago, who are both friendly and consistently give clean, precise cuts. The receptionists are awesome--they always call if there's a delay and offer alternatives if a barber isn't available. The price for a haircut (without the beard) is $30, which is pretty reasonable for the quality you get. My only complaint is the parking. It's quite limited, so be prepared to search for a spot. Despite that, it's a reliable place for a great haircut with excellent customer service. read more

I loved the place and the Vibes here - while you get your hair cut done Jose attended me, that I was told he is good with scissors since I really love Scissor cut on my hair. He spoke Spanish only, and I speak english - however the receptionist and the neighboring stylist was kind enough to communicate my initial instructions of how I would like to have this done to him and grabbed all of that quickly. 1st timer! They actually ask what u getting done so they send you to whichever barber is best at it so that was good. Waited for about 5min only (as a walk-in). They have board games, a pool table, phone charging station, and free beer on Saturdays. Got cut by Mateo.. Haircut was good, great fades! Only con is there's almost no parking which is not that big of a deal. Many places have good barbers, so gave this one the 5th star for the entertainment and man-cave they have while you wait. read more

This was a great haircut experience. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and had an appointment so I only waited 8 mins to sit down. As I waited, I had a beer and some water. I didn't get to play with the pool table but next time will definitely give it a shot. Great atmosphere and felt comfortable the whole time. Looks like a great place you can bring anyone from any age. When I finally sat on the chair I described how I wanted my cut to Aviel , the barber, and thankfully he over delivered. I am a regular customer at the Doral shop since they opened a few years ago. Service, atmosphere and price is always great here. I was unable to get my haircut for over a month as I was hospitalized going through a 2nd transplant. I've been waiting for this transplant for 3 years and I was in real bad shape during that time. After my transplant I went to get my haircut and the hostess remembered me. She greeted me as usual and she mentioned that I was looking much better. I told her the good news, that I had my transplant and she congratulated me. When I was done with my haircut I went to pay for it, and for my surprise, she told me that Andy already took care of it. I asked Andy who? She pointed to a young gentleman that was working there as a barber and that i never saw or met before . I asked: Is he the owner or a partner? And she answered: No! He is just a barber here but he paid for your haircut from his own pocket. I was absolutely puzzled with his action. Still speechless, I moved towards Andy to thank him and at the same time he stoped cutting hair to his customer and walked towards me, holding tears from bursting from his eyes, and gave me a heartfelt hug while whispering at my ear: "Everything is going to be fine from now own. You are ok now!" This event left me speechless with tears in my eyes. I felt a overwhelming warmth through my body and I could not understand what just happened. I had to sit down and try to absorb what just happened. Andy touched me in an emotional and spiritual way like I never felt before. Since then I've opened my heart to God again. There are no words to describe Andy's action and the feelings he caused, it was like God reaching out to me through Andy. I don't know how to thank you Andy. You made me a believer again. I've found it very difficult to find a good, much less great, barber who listens to what I want and also is proficient with a straight razor. Today I have found that place! I walked in, being in town for business, and was greeted quickly, sat down and the show was about to begin. One problem, my Spanish was equally as weak as my barbers English and not to the point of being able to seamlessly communicate with my barber; I wouldn't blame someone if this made them a little nervous about the place. But, we over came it without any problems and despite the language barrier my barber killed it! Started by bringing me a beer and meticulously sett me up my lines. Moved on to nearly finishing up with the hair and direct in to the shave. It was at this time I realized that this guy was a master with a straight razor. Having friends who compete regularly and a short stent managing a place the had master barbers I was really impressed by the barbers skills. I waited to give a review until I visited this place twice because I wasn't convinced after my first, and I'm glad I did. This place is located in a very busy shopping center with only about 4 dedicated parking spots. There is open parking, yes, but good luck getting one. Just be careful not to park in another business spot because you will be towed. Inside looks like a warehouse setting but complete with barber chairs, a pool table, an Xbox and TVs showing sports. A man's dream barber right? Almost. On a Saturday morning this place opens at 10 and I arrive on point. Minutes later a woman opens the establishment along with one barber. Of course, I wasnt the only one on a early Saturday wanting to cut my hair. Two other people along with me were waiting while theres one barber. I was told by the woman that the other barbers arrive after 1030. Really? Come on...I have things to do! Look, the place is cool. But a haircut costs $18 and it caters to clients who apparently like to sleep in. I went elsewhere for $12 just a mile away. Inside wasn't too bad but for a mustache and beard type of barbershop it looked to be run by a child. After trying to talk in English it was clear that Spanish was the way of talking to the girl at front so happy to have a friend translate. I'm pleased that I passed up a couple chain shops to go here. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and sitting in a barber's chair immediately. My barber was friendly and did a great job on my hair. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you can tell the shop is trying to emphasize customer service-they want your repeat business. I had been apprehensive since some reviews noted parking issues but I think if you come during the week and after hours for the other businesses you're fine. I didn't have any issue finding parking right in front of the store. The place is modern inside, definitely a 'man cave' feel...leather couches, big screen tv, pool table, cards, dominoes, you name it! The location is a little bit random and easy to miss, but once you walk inside it looks like high quality. First time at this four (4) month old barber shop was yesterday afternoon. I have absolutely nothing bad to say, other than finding a parking spot was tough & competitive. The place was organized, clean and comfortable! I have not been to a barber shop since the days I was a kid and I would go for a haircut with my pops. Lately, I have been going to a "Unisex" place. But that has now changed. The only reason I found this little gem was b/c of the large billboard ad on the corner of NW 58 Street and 79 Avenue. The staff were attentive and accommodating! I sat in "Butta's" chair! The guy did a phenomenal job and placed close attention to detail. I'm more a clean-cut and fashionable gentleman and both the shop and Butta delivered it! My experience started promptly when I arrived and I was in and out in less than half an hour (punctuality is HUGE with me)! Yeah, they had tv's all around the shop. Many tuned into ESPN and others to a soccer match. I am not a die-hard soccer fan but I guess you have to accommodate the majority. The ONLY down-fall was the non-stop reggae-ton music. Do you guys know what the "shuffle" key is used for on the music system? Change up the music a little bit, would ya....... You can book your cut online by going to their web-site and you will receive both a text and email confirmation that your appointment was confirmed. "That was easy....." Nevertheless, I will be back and sit with Butta! His attention to detail on my hair was great (and NO, he didn't pay me 20 bucks to say this)! This place is unique! First of all, we were greeted by the owner. He was very professional and even offered me a complementary beer. While you wait you can play pool, foosball, board games and it is all complementary! They also have an area where you can just sit and relax watching the sport channel, while waiting for your barber. When I arrive at my appointment time I get to find out there are 5 guys ahead of me. They don't seem to understand the concept of an appointment. Avoid this place at all cost. I got my haircut done by a barber by the name of Roberto I believe, not only did he take way too long to cut my already short hair (all I asked for was a cleanup on the sides, top and my tape) he left me with an enormous cut on the skin behind my neck and also cut the skin on the side of my tape, I noticed the cut on the side of my tape and thought nothing of it as it wasn't too noticeable and I'm not someone to complain because of a little cut with the blade, however when my friends saw me they actually asked me if I had gotten scratched up by a cat and took a picture of the area behind my neck and it was a huge cut stretching all the way across the hairline. Honestly the worst barber I have ever let cut my hair and if this place is willing to hire someone like that then I imagine their other barbers are not too different, so basically I paid 20 dollars for a haircut that took way too long and left me looking like I got mauled by a cat. read more
