I think their mattress is probably more comfortable than mine at home. Plenty of hot water quickly for showers. Breakfast was wonderful both mornings. Enjoyed great food and enjoyed visiting with Virginia and Jack both days. Such gracious hosts. Home had beautiful gazebo and porch to relax on enjoyed a relaxing sunny Friday afternoon after hiking Enchanted Rock. If you B and B (and even if you don't) this is the place to stay if you go to Llano. We will definitely be back next time we head up that way

The house has 3 bedrooms, two downstairs with a shared bathroom and one upstairs with a private bath. All rooms are equally beautiful and well-maintained. House was impeccably clean and owner Jim was wonderful and hospitable. Breakfast is brought over the day before so that toy can enjoy the morning on your own pace. The two miniature donkeys on site are cute as can be and they love the carrots you're allowed to fees them. Would definitely stay here again, maybe renting the whole house vs. one room because all rooms may be occupied (in our case) so you will meet with other couples, etc.

Beautiful cabins / bungalows, the owners and staff onsite were very nice, friendly and helpful…read more The restaurant onsite is nice, decent food, good wine/prosecco list, friendly staff ... when we had questions about anything, owners, staff were quick to respond and it was only 2 blocks away from Main Street, Fredricksburg.... * Only recommendations: would recommend about putting a couple air fresheners (i.e. plug-ins, etc), in some spaces... to help with the old wood smell, some areas gave a strong moldy smell, which is normal for old wood. I understand that the cabins are old, and authentic but it would help a little. I would also recommend a little better dusting, around window sills, and windows/curtains, a fair amount of dust that came off, every time we closed the blinds or pulled the curtains. That is the only reason I rated it a 4 instead of 5.

You approach the resort by dirt roads, but they are well maintained and no problem for our sedan. The Tesla nav system was accurate. We had no problems getting there and back. Kelly and Brian are excellent hosts. Brian can regale you with many anecdotes from Central Texas history, most of which I had not heard before, even though we've lived in the Lone Star State for 38 years. Our room was quiet, cool, and comfortable. The lobby is also quiet and is a great place to sit and read. There are two very sweet dogs that have the run of the place. We had a lot of fun interacting with them. You can walk the grounds and along the dirt roads with nearly zero traffic. I do recommend sturdy hiking boots, as cockleburrs are plentiful. There are also venomous snakes in this area, although we did not see any. Better safe than sorry. We will certainly return. No staff onsite. This caused an issue when some items were sparse on the breakfast bar, and the key lock box would not open. It took 45 minutes to find and get someone on site to open the keys to our room.

This is more similar to an AirBnB than the traditional having to wake up early and share a meal with strangers situation. I have no idea what the previous owners were like, and there was only 1 review posted here and none during the new ownership,so I was hesitant, but I went on a whim due to cabin fever and am happy to say that it was a wonderful experience. Check it out should you ever go to Llano! There are 2 apartments so it would be easy to do a small vacation with friends. It would be super convenient for summer swims.
