I feel like giving the staff a big hug each time I walk in the door. They are nearly always incredibly busy, and yet they make me feel so welcome I feel as if I am at home.
The pastries, food, coffee, is just as it should be. I particularly love the quiche Lorraine and the bite-size (making them way too convenient to eat), soft, sticky canneles.
The breakfast buffet is the stuff of fairy tales- it's open on Sundays upstairs in the restaurant with all you can eat croissants, baguettes, cheese, pâté, muesli, quiches, vegetables, fruit, Lachs, salami, and select bites of pastry. In the winter an all you can eat, made to order crêpe station is also included.
The location is also spot on- right in the heart of Bornheim in a pedestrian zone that allows for a perfect vantage point to "people watch." Baguette Jeanette is really the place to go all year round and can lighten your mood no matter how down you may feel.
