Are your kids coming for spring visits? We finally found an affordable way for our crew to get their start riding ATV's in the desert. CALL: 760-533-9389 cell, 760-767-9829 shop ***Tony Motta at Muy Rapido, Ocotillo Wells has at least 3 sizes of quad ATV's, to fit kids 8 years and older. The simplest ones you just turn the grips and go. the next has a couple of automatic gears and the next up you can shift the gears. Tony includes the helmets and will give your kid a lesson to learn what the quad can do. The 1/2 day or full day price is fair and reasonable, as is the security deposit. He also has 2 wheel mini-bikes. Located at the corner of Hwy 78 and Split Mountain Road in Ocotillo Wells, you can see the sandy mountain riding area from Tony's business, and the quads get there by riding alongside the airport landing strip and into the off-road vehicle site, which is marked. There is also a trail all the way around the airport. Parents can drive their jeeps in on "main street" off of Hwy 78 and sit and watch their kids have fun in the sand and sun. *** The shop description: The business specializes in off-road parts and repairs. The owner of the business Tony has raced and won many SCORE Baja races and has brought his expertise to Ocotillo Wells in the form of off-road repair. Have a flat cycle tire? Bring it in and we will repair it while you wait. We carry all of the tubes and tires We are a full-service tire shop as well stocking a wide assortment of tire sizes. Need a cycle or ATV battery? We got 'em! Spark plugs, clutch cables and levers.....too many parts to list. Call us at 760-301-6064 to see if we have your part in stock. Best place to get a bike, quad or just about any desert toy fixed. Tony also does welding. History Established in 2002. The owners Tony and Lynda both grew up enjoying riding motorcycles and camping in Ocotillo Wells. When they married, they decided to move out of San Diego and buy a ranch in Ocotillo Wells. When Tony was younger he always had the dream of living in the desert and opening his own off-road shop. His passion is helping others get back out there and ride. It brings him such joy seeing a child's face light up because he has just fixed his cycle tire and he can ride another day.

I took my family out today to rent ATVs and a motorcycle. Tony, his wife and his rescue dogs were awesome! Two of the four of us had never ridden before and Tony took extra time making sure that we had proper instruction and completely understood how to safely use the ATVs. After talking to Tony we also understand that he has rental trailers not far away so if you want to stay out there you can. It was a great day and everyone had fun. We will be back soon!

I met Tyler over at Hollywood Electrics when he was working on my new (back then) 2018 Zero DSR…read more That bike has about 60k miles on it now...and that's a credit to him! He's taken care of all of the preventative maintenance and all of my off script requests. Not only on my Zero...but also on my Indian... He's got top notch skill and cares about the details. AND he takes the time to talk and explain what and why...never seems rushed. So chill... I would trust him with ANY issue on ANY bike. I would 100% recommend Tyler at Motowerkz to anyone!

I've known Tyler from Hollywood Electrics days and followed him to two other locations to work on…read moremy bike. In the last couple of months, the battery cells on my Zero motorcycle became too unbalanced and Tyler said he had a healthy (used) battery he was looking to sell. The front wheel of my Zero had also been making noises, so I refrained from riding it for several months while I proactively saved pennies on the dollar to afford to replace the battery and fix the front wheel. I do not own any other vehicle except this motorcycle. I finally took it in to Tyler and explicitly told him to look at the front wheel. He said it was "probably just age". I paid $400 up front so he could buy a part to retrofit the used battery to my bike model and an additional $2300 for the battery & labor. While picking up the bike, he made no mention of the front wheel. Exactly two weeks later with minimal rides, the front wheel gave out while on the freeway. Turns out the bearings needed to be replaced and had Tyler looked closely at the front wheel instead of just a standard test ride (which would have been done regardless), the problem would have been resolved before it got worse. In fact, he tried to justify his expertise by stating that I had only requested a bearings replacement on the rear wheel several months before. The front wheel got severely damaged from worn out bearings and front wheels are not available except on the used market. Luckily I did not get hurt. I'm out $2700 and my bike is effectively only good for parts or the scrapyard. While Tyler had allowed my bike to stay at his shop awaiting a potential replacement wheel, he would have charged $200 to transport it back to me, in addition to the $160 I paid AAA to tow it to him, so I'd be out an additional $360, over $3000 total. I trusted Tyler's expertise and now I have no motorcycle. He's been reliable in the past but this negligence & lack of properly diagnosing the issue was not only disappointing but he has shown zero accountability and would not recommend him or Motor Werks.
