This is not 5 star dining, it's a laid back dinner on a tour around Lake Sunapee.

I would give this service 6 stars if I could!!! Every time we come into town we go on a Sunapee…read morecruise and it's amazing! If you are debating it, doooo it! So fun for all ages. Tickets- they can be bought right online. We always go for the scenic lake tour. Seats- They start boarding about 15-20 minutes before they leave. Get there early!!!!! You can get the seat of your choice that way. There is seating on the ground level (mostly tables) or if you go up top there are a lot of chairs all around. What to wear- sunscreen!! You do sit directly in the sun if you sit up top. You may want to bring a light jacket because it can be breezy, but I was fine without one. Be careful of any hats you wear since it is breezy! The ride- the captain is so great about giving facts about the lake and houses on the lake. It is the perfect amount of talking. They also play light "yacht rock" music in the background. They don't go too fast and it is SUCH an enjoyable ride. There is a bathroom on board and you can purchase drinks (a full bar) and snacks. The crew was very nice and helpful when we had questions. They made sure the ride was exactly 90 minutes and even took us into a cool cove they don't normally go into when it was looking like we were going to arrive back early. I have never done the dinner cruise. It's the same ride but for $23 more it's a buffet style dinner from the Appleseed restaurant. The only con of that is there is no outdoor seating on that boat.

We sat on the bottom level at the first table, so we were the first to go through the buffet line…read moreand the first to exit. So that was cool. My husband tried to order a beer off the menu, but they didn't have it. Instead had several different beers. Weird. I ordered a club soda and was brought something clear and bubbly, but it wasn't a club soda. Eventually I got my right order, and he chose a different beer. There were crackers and dip waiting at our table for us.. For dinner, the salad, Mac and cheese, bread, potatoes, and lasagna were all great. We didn't try the pulled pork or beans. The carved roast beef was Ok (kind of fatty). Cake choices were excellent and very delicious. Staff was good. The captain shared interesting facts along the way (Steven Tyler's house). It was smooth sailing. Sadly too cloudy for a sunset viewing. Background music was much to our liking. People along the lake were out on their decks waving to us as we passed and the Captain blew his whistle. Once it was dark and dinner was over, we were ready to get off, but we had another 30 minutes to the ride. And not much to look at outside.

Get Ready, Get Set, Get Elevated!…read more Bottom Line Up Front: This is our second year using Elevated Wake and once again,e had a wonderful, enjoyable, vigorous and "elevated" time for a good price. For four hours, pre-teens to "teens in thier fifties" did it all; water skiing, swimming, wake surfing and "hyper-tubing." The Good: One word -- Captain Pat! Ok that is two words, but one name never to forget. Captain Pat was an experienced boat Captain and water sports instructor (has been doing this for 30 years) and knows in the Lake well. He got us underway on time, was prepared, and was a delightful host, instructor and DJ. We had three new water-skiers ages ranging from pre-teen to "salty" adult that Pat successfully got up on skis within a few tries. We had one new wake surfer that he had up within two tries. Pat was patient, experienced, and very insightful; he knew what to say and how to say it to each participant, literally and figuratively, and even-keeled. As far as tubing goes, with a few hand signals, the tubers are in control, and the speeds range from slow and steady, fast and furious, to ludicrous speed. Fun was had by all in our group. Four hours on the water was the sweet spot for our group of nine. We started on time and finished promptly on time. Captain Pat picked us up and dropped us off at our location on the lake. His company also provides services other lakes in the area, and offer boat rentals. The Bad: There was nothing bad! From start to finish, we had a wonderful time -- Pat was a great captain and host. He let us choose the music for each participant and he entertained all our questions. The Ugly: Other than my slalom ski attempts, there was nothing ugly! I highly recommend Captain Pat and Elevated Wake Company! If you find yourself in Lake Winnipesaukee, this is definitely an enjoyable way to spend a few hours. They say a picture is worth 1000 words, so I am going to end my post with a few that we snapped along the way. May you have fair winds, and Elevated Wake waters!

We had the absolute BEST day with Ryan and Will! Everyone got up on wakeboard or ski's. We brought…read morethree Pre-teens and one got teary eyed when she had to stop . They read their willingness vs. fear and helped them be successful. I would highly recommend this company. If Ryan and Will aren't available ask for Kyle or Sabrina!
