I know why they are calling it the Bloc! It's big! Everything was clean and so organized. The displays looked like they were from a cover of a magazine! Whoever is putting together each area has a true gift! Prices are far less than other places I have visited. I certainly have to stop back when I drop sizes and am due for a new wardrobe! I am going to get more bang for my buck at this place! The cashier was a huge help pointing me in the right direction, and I am a fan of those blue eyes! The founder of the place swung by and she checked to see if I was finding everything okay and let me loan a tape measure, also. I asked numerous questions and she was willing to answer everyone of them! Thanks! Means the world to know what the stores are all about! I can't wait to go back! And I found the item I was looking for!

It's a thrift store, but there are two things that separate this store from the others in town…read more First, Becky (the manager) and her staff have knowledge in display, marketing, and merchandising, which means it looks more like a boutique than a thrift store (and it doesn't stink!). Secondly and most importantly, this thrift shop exists literally to bless others. Each month, the store chooses a different organization to which the entire month's profits go. Unlike the other stores in town, this business is mission-minded and outreach-oriented. It's in the Skylark Mall now! Check it out.

Thrifty's has two floors with 6000 sq. ft. of retail space and is filled with gently used merchandise at deep discounts. More importantly, proceeds support ECHO PLUS services for Emmet and Dickinson Counties' people with disabilities. This store also provides employment opportunities for these folks. Program participants sort and hang clothing, price items and clean. In addition, people from the community volunteer at Thrifty's to help keep things going. My Son has never met a yard sale that he didn't love. So as we were recently walking around Downtown Estherville, he made a direct path to Thrifty's Door. I looked around a bit, but quickly snuck out and headed for the Library. The Kid hung around a bit longer, made some friends, and later tried to convince me to buy a few things. Well, it is a good cause....

Such a great find and some really cool stuff here. Their books are well priced and not too…read moreexpensive and on Fridays the kids can also get a free book $.50 or less. There is a cool little reading nook that I really appreciate it and they have a good furniture selection as well as plenty of shelves to see all the different glassware and things like that. All things considered the stores pretty well organized and I will definitely be going back here again soon if I can. Their books are SO ORGANIZED. Love this spot.
