I am…read morefairly new to the area so both Seacoast Physical Therapy and Dr. Cecily Cannon were both new to me. Back was making it hard for me to walk short distances. It was also impossible to walk upright. I am now upright (for the most part) and have been going to the gym for 3 weeks now 3-4 times a week. That would have not been possible without Seacoast. A lot of my gym routine is similar to what my rehab was. I am now starting to check in less with Seacoast. I slowed down there with a commitment from Matt to have the gym contact him anytime with any questions, concerns or updates. Matt had expectations for performance from me that ramped up as my body started to heal. Their rehabilitation regimen, I found to be quite effective. He is young, professional, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Also, the rest of the staff at Seacoast are great! Thank you Shannon, Nancy, Ann Marie and Matt. We called in around 9 am on Saturday and Dr. Linster answered the phone and had my wife and I in…read morefor initial consultations and adjustments within the hour. When we arrived, the doctor was at the reception desk with paperwork ready for us. The paperwork was very easy to fill out and very in depth. If you are arriving for a scheduled appointment, I'd recommend allowing for about 20 minutes for paperwork. I went back first and talked with Dr. Linster very in depth to clarify things on my paperwork and expand on other things. She had me do some posture and movement demonstrations that were very easy/low impact, but insightful for her. Most chiropractors I have been to have done extensive x-rays, and I was relieved that I didn't need to have any done at Active Balance. After Dr. Linster got me on the table, she did an amazing amount of hip stretches and light adjustments to relieve some of the hip pain I suffer from due to a trauma. She then moved on to my back and neck, then ended with some of the same posture and movement demos to ensure some progress was made. We agreed on a treatment plan and she took my wife in. My wife absolutely loved her time with Dr. Linster and was so amazed at how she had addressed many "clumsy" injuries my wife had that she forgot to write on paper. As we left, she recommended that we take a two hour nap, so as I sign off on this review, I'll be slipping into a post-adjustment mini-coma. We're looking forward to our visits on Monday to continue the excellent initial care we received. Thank you Dr. Linster for answering your phone and taking us in on a weekend with no notice. Your calm and considerate nature were very refreshing and welcomed.

After a thorough and consultative exam, an explanation to me about what he thought was going on, a resolution was forthcoming immediately. Directly thereafter the nurse was back, efficiently showed me the exercises I needed to do, and sent me to check out. Check out was immediate and pleasant, and I was in the elevator before I knew what hit me. I know I've used the word immediate repeatedly in this review, however it must be pointed out that my opinion is this not a word associated with your average doctor visit. Particularly not when you're in your patient which I was in this circumstance. I was in and out in one hour which is incredible for new patient visit. AND they were nice about it!

I was walking home from the bus station one day and saw this place. I figured, why not call? What's to lose? They immediately were so kind, took my insurance, helped me. My PT, Dahne, is absolutely incredible. She has helped me go from barely being able to walk, to being able to climb Katahdin and run seven miles. She has listened to my goals and helped me achieve them- and it's hard work, but she pushes me and teaches me about how strong our bodies can be. I have never met another person that has inspired me so much in my fitness journey. I am so, so grateful for her. I'm still healing- MCL still gets spicy- and I'm so glad I have Dahne to help me. Being a chubby girl with an injury is embarrassing. But I never feel judged here. I cannot recommend enough.

The first day felt awkward because I didn't know where to go and who I was waiting to see. They had a mask policy at the time (this was March 2023) and had masks available if you didn't have one. The space is nice and seems to suit the needs of the center. The Therapists also use the gym equipment with you. The time spent kept me on track with physical fitness for my medical needs. I recommend for anyone with MS as they specify in MS rehab.

I'm back again at Maine Stong Balance Center. Call me a…read moreklutz this time I slipped, fell & re- broke my left shoulder much worse than my 1st total shoulder replacement from 6 years ago. At the same fall I also broke my left hip. Complications set in & finally after 30 days I was released from the hospital to rehab for just shy of two weeks. A week later back into the hospital with sepsis for another week. Then twice a week Home PT, OT & speech therapy for a total of 6 visits each week for 6 weeks. Here I am now at the best physical therapy conditioning center that I have used for over a year ago for problems to numerous to mention. My favorite Therapist Dr. Katie just went skiing & had a bad experience. She's out of work for quite sometime. She has me scheduled for twice a week for approximately 2 months with a young adorable, sweet intelligent woman named Cara. Funny thing is she looks like Katie.
