Can get what I need without breaking the bank! This barbershop is literally a 2 minute drive from my house, and here's another perk: they take cards and payment through apps like Venmo & Cash! In my past experiences, barbers are cash only, so this is a wonderful thing. Otherwise, it's not much outside of your standard barbershop --- flat screen TV that usually has sports or news, your handful of barbers that usually talk about sports or news ... oh, there are some fancier seats in the back for washing hair and such. I appreciate that I am greeted whenever I enter the shop, and while appointments are indeed an option, I've been in and out within a half hour several times. Terrible communication! Two barbers in there let me sit there for an hour in a half with my 4 year old son as walk ins and didn't inform me that their schedules were booked up. Pitiful customer service...do not recommend! read more

Very rude, I sent my son to cut his hair. For the first time in this store. My son told him how he wants his hair to be done. He started then my son reminded him how he wanted the cut so he stopped and kicked my son out of his shop. My son was confused for the barber reaction. Very bad experience. read more

New to this side of town for work and needed a fresh haircut. I walked in hoping they accepted walk ins and that I didn't have to wait forever and I definitely got what I hoped for. Keith is the barber who cut my hair and gave me my first design, which came out so dope by the way. I am going to be a regular since Keith is truly skilled with the clippers, the location is convenient from my office and I enjoyed the atmosphere here. My son went to "Old Skool," in the back. Please, whatever you do, just don't go to him. He botched my son's cut. Not only pushed the hairline all the way back, but he used a stencil. I told my son, once he took out the stencil, you should have got up & asked for the boss. Needless to say, even with the stencil, it came out uneven and raggedy. But what can I say, my son is not as assertive as me. In addition, there's the expectation that if you're working in a shop (as a barber (not a sweeper or massuesse), that you would actually know how to cut hair. But I digress. Son comes out the shop in a really bad mood, bc he started work (new job) the next day. He specifically asked me not to call, but since paid I good money, I did call and ask for the manager or whoever was in charge. Larry came on the line and exceeded my expectations as far as being a true professional & customer-service oriented. He told me to bring my son back right away and that he would "blend" it and fix it up. He did have good advice though, he said my son should always stick to his same barber. This is totally true & I agreed, but since his usual barber was off & the interview was the next day,he went with anyone. I guess the dead giveaway was that the shop was full of people waiting but none of them went to Old Skool. This was my son's third time here, and so now he definitely knows better. Lesson learned. When he walked out the 2nd time, he had a big smile & was confident & feeling himself! Hairline was tight and straight. My son's usual barber, Chris, & the owner Larry are both recommended! It's so hard to find a good barber, that's nice with the straight razor out here. This saves us the trip of having to go to DC, or back to NY, for a cut, as my son suggested. He looks AMAZING & Larry & his helpful attitude & being so quick to make it right will keep my son coming back. I have posted before & after pix. read more

Keith, my new found barber, met me at the door---literally. He was outside when I walked up and asked if I had a barber. I replied I'd been there before but I didn't go to anyone in particular. So he ushered me in. Once I walked in, I was greeted and not gawked at like your typical barbershop. Keith asked my name and introduced himself. I shows him a pic of how I liked my hair since I'm not hip to the lingo and have a fear of walking out bald lol. He followed the pic and my instructions and I was in and out! Wasn't for me didn't think a medium fade would get me a high top old school hair cut, barber was cool just didn't give me what I asked for

If I could give this 0 stars I would... The absolute worst service I've seen at a barbershop ever. Was waiting for a cut for and hour. About 7 people all came in after me gave dap to all their barbers and automatically got haircuts right after... That's not how you run a business. Then half the barbers leave while there's still people waiting for a cut. I will never be coming back absolute worst. read more
