    **** Update ****…read more Immediately after my earlier post below, I was contacted by Local Cleaners who acknowledged my grievance, and agreed to better compensate me in return for the poor service we had received. I am grateful for their acknowledgement as this makes me feel my valued as a customer, my voice was heard, and I admit I was impressed by their sensitivity to the whole matter and the professional manner in which they subsequently handled the case. ********************** The Fantastic Cleaners team of three did a poor job of the "end of tenancy" cleaning of our 3 bedroom property we contracted them for in early Sept. Actually, we engaged "Local Cleaners London" but it was the FC crew who showed up, and now there is no posting of LCL on Yelp anymore! Anyway, the job they did was so poor - it was done in approx 3 hours on a Sunday. We pointed out a few things obviously so amiss when we inspected our property immediately upon completion - e.g. Sofa had cobwebs on the side, lampshade in toilet had not even been wiped down, carpet hardly cleaned, bathroom blinds not even wiped etc. Actually we were embarassed to be pointing so many things out to them...was this a "deep clean"? Upon complaining (with loads of photographic evidence) and discussing the matter with LCL customer service, the best we were told that could be done was a "re-clean" of specifics (not very useful since new tenants had already moved in by then and had already undertaken rework on their own!) or a raincheck for a carpet clean of just 1 of the bedrooms. I felt they should have refunded the fees but no option to do so. Made us realize this is a time-sensitive service and absolutely useless without any serious quality assurance. Frankly, if this is what should be expected from a "deep cleaning", next time I would rather have 3 hourly maids come in and do a 3 hour job - under 100£ instead of the £250 we spent!

    DO NOT USE HOUSE CLEANING LONDON! DO NOT USE…read more I would like to write in response to the patronising response that I received from House Cleaning London in my previous comment. The tone to your response is no surprise as the customer service that I also received from the contact at House Cleaning London, Steve, that I have been liaising with was also rude and patronising and just demonstrates what I said in my first review regarding your approach. I have rented plenty of properties over the last 10 years and I know full well how lettings agents operate - I am not stupid as you imply I (and other potential customers) might be. Furthermore, I am not a London tenant (?!!) we were renting in Hampshire and the practice of not letting people back into the property after the tenancy has ended is not unreasonable - you would not be insured to be onsite and therefore if you wrecked the property they are not covered. This is only fair of them to have this clause in place. We were also letting from an extremely large and well known estate agent with integrity that treated us with respect (unlike your Company). I would like to address your 48 hour guarantee clause - first of all, £315 to professionally clean a house that was less than 1000 square foot is a lot of money and you claim to provide a professional cleaning service - this is the basics of the contact between us. The service provided to me was not even to a domestic standard, (as I said in my first review) I would have done it better myself within the 8 hours cleaning time that your cleaners "allegedly" spent cleaning our property. We paid for a service that we expect to be provided FIRST TIME - this is not unreasonable or unusual for us to expect. There shouldn't be a need for a 48 hour guarantee because, if you are as good at what you do as you claim you are, you shouldn't need to come back and reclean a property!!! It just contradicts how good you think you are!! Secondly, it is a con because you know that main stream lettings agents all operate similar practices. I would say that the way you operate is "tricky" as you put it because you recommend that people get the cleaning done the day before check out knowing full well that you won't be allowed back in! Referring to the 5 days it took me to contact you to complain, it was on the 2nd working day that I contacted you. You cleaned the property on the Thursday, finishing at 1pm. I then spent the rest of that day panicking and trying to get the house up to the required standard in order to hand the keys back at 9am the next morning (Friday). I then contacted you when I received the Check Out report back on the Tuesday (Monday was a bank holiday). I have been over and over this with Steve, the rude customer services advisor and he seems to be clinging to the 48 hour clause which I have already addressed above. If this review stops at least one potential customer from using you then it has done its job. Your Company has demonstrated by its response, its behaviour and the appalling service that I received that it should not be in the cleaning business. I could say I have 10 years cleaning experience...I have more than that cleaning my own home! It's a load of rubbish and you are stealing from poor people who are already spending a fortune renting. Shame on you!
