Thank God for Andrea! I thought the private prep school our son went to would be enough to direct our son through the college application process. It just scratches the surface of what it truly takes to apply and have the BEST opportunity for acceptance. If it were not for Andrea helping us to navigate the college application process it would have been near impossible and felt even more overwhelming. She took the time with both of my kids (not twins) to learn about them: what they were interested in studying, where they wanted to go to college, their high school "resume", etc. She was instrumental in helping them through the application process and coaching them in writing their essays. She set deadlines along the way to make sure they stayed on track. She empowered them to own the process, not for us to. I do recommend speaking with her early on, even before they begin to submit their applications, to gain insight in helping to build their high school "resume". We learned that grades are great but it takes so much more than that. Ultimately, the long process does end and I have to say my kids ended up exactly where they were meant to be. My daughter went to a community college for 2 years after high school. We were overwhelmed by the search for the perfect college for her to continue her studies. In stepped Andrea, the College Coordinator, who was extremely helpful in matching us to some great schools. She started by interviewing my daughter to gather information to head her in the right direction. She followed by looking over her transcript to make sure she was applying to schools that would meet her academic success.
