She's knowledgeable, kind, patient and helped make one of the hardest times easier. Beast feeding is hard. Doing it alone is harder. I had a brand new baby and thought the help the hospital gave me was enough but it wasn't. I needed latching help. I needed help with how long to allow the baby to nurse on each side. Marianne sat with me and coached me through it all and was available for help anytime after. I'm so grateful my friends referred me to KMak. Marianne is wonderful and her help transformed my breastfeeding experience into a wonderful bonding time with my baby. Thank you, Marianne!

I had had lactation help from the hospital, so I thought I was just a lost cause and we would never get it right. I couldn't imagine a time when breastfeeding wouldnt be excruciating. Then our pediatrician recommended marianne. She came right out to our house and she was so caring, helpful and very experienced. I immediately felt comfortable and taken care of! In one appointment, she fixed our latch, recommended how to care for my damage, showed me how to use my haaka, confirmed how much our daughter was drinking per feeding and showed me how to use our baby carriers. I can't tell you how amazing it was to be able to say I have "zero pain" breastfeeding. Not only was Marianne so helpful in our appointment, but she remained communicative and continued to check on me afterwards. She was always there if I have a question or concern. I cannot recommend her enough!

Merrie was one of the best decisions we made during our birth journey. As we prepared for a VBAC,…read moreshe helped calm both my husband's and my fears with a level of knowledge, reassurance, and confidence that was truly invaluable. She never pushed an agenda - instead, she empowered us with information, supported our wishes, and helped us feel prepared every step of the way. During labor and delivery, she was an incredible advocate while also working seamlessly alongside the medical team. Her ability to strike that balance - supporting us wholeheartedly while fostering a collaborative environment with our doctors and nurses - made us feel genuinely cared for. Beyond her expertise, Merrie is simply an amazing human being. Compassionate, calming, intuitive, and deeply invested in her clients, she made one of the most important days of our lives so much better than we ever could have imagined. I truly cannot recommend her enough. If we're lucky enough to have another baby, Merrie will be my very first phone call to make sure she's available for the birth.

From the very beginning, Lauren made me feel safe, supported, and completely cared for. She has such a calming presence, and she gave me the confidence I didn't even know I had. Lauren was with us every step of the way--starting months before I delivered--helping us prepare for labor and delivery with thoughtful education, helpful advice, and so much reassurance. When it came time for labor, she advocated for me in ways I will forever be grateful for. Her expertise not only helped move my labor along more efficiently, but she also helped me manage the discomfort in ways that made such a difference. Both my husband and I felt so thankful she was by our side. Having our first baby felt a lot less overwhelming because Lauren was there guiding and supporting us through it all. She even came to visit after our son was born, which meant so much to us. I genuinely cannot imagine having another baby without her. If you're considering hiring Lauren--do it. I cannot recommend her more highly. She is an incredible doula and an even more incredible person.

From the minute my husband and I met her we instantly felt comfortable in her presence and we both naturally gravitated towards her, she seemed like someone we would have been friends with for years. Looking back on the entire experience, I know I would not have been able to do it without her. I ended up having a natural birth and Stacey was there to help me through it all. There were several times that I did not believe in myself or think I could do it and Stacey knew exactly what to say and knew exactly what to do to help make me feel mentally strong and physically better. I have told all my friends about Stacey and strongly encourage them to use her when they decide to have a baby. I know for sure my husband and I will be calling on Stacey when we go to have baby number two. Stacey is incredibly knowledgable and so easy to relate to and get along with, I was able to be completely myself with her and was able to talk with her like I'd known her for years. I was so happy to have her by my side when the nurses asked me questions or advised me on things that I wasn't sure about. Knowing Stacey's resume, background and years of experience I knew I could trust in her advise and opinion. I knew she was looking out for what was best for me and that ultimately it was my decision but she was there to help me understand all my options. All in all, my husband and I would have paid five times as much to have Stacey there, she truly was so amazing. Thank you Stacey!

This is by far the most money I have EVER paid for this service thinking I was going to get something unique and holistic. Unfortunately, not only was it hard to maintain consistent and regular communication, but the training advice was such a one-sized fit all plan. It's like Rachelle has a program that she plugged in information and then you are told to never deviate. There is no skill building, just a quick cessation of all night feeds while you are told to soothe. I tried a few times to get my money back, and they asked if I would try again. I said yes and that was a pretty big mistake on my part. Over Thanksgiving break, I just did it without her help, and after I emailed saying I had done it on my own, she just about took all the credit and hasn't checked up or tried to see if I would like anymore of that $1500 service I paid for. I tried being kind and polite, and that was mistake. Please go elsewhere, the help here is very minimal but very expensive.

I'm very disappointed to have to leave this review here but here it goes. I hired Rachelle to help…read morewith my five month old's sleep in August. I paid over $800 for her "sleep consulting" package in addition to paying for ten nights of sleep trainers over a four month period ($4,500). My baby is now ten months old and still not sleeping well. This is my third baby and I've worked with other sleep consultants. Rachelle's "method" consists on eliminating night feeds. It does not teach your baby any skills for sleeping independently. Not all babies wake due to hunger. My baby (and so many babies) struggles to connect sleep cycles. Her plan gave me no tools to help with this. When I reached out to her for help, I would often receive extremely delayed responses (often days later) and when I did get responses, they were difficult to understand, and I would have to text back many times to clarify what I was supposed to be doing. If I was having an issue, I was often made to feel like I was doing something wrong, and I did not feel supported in this process. For example, her plan says that the baby needs to nap in his crib once a day. But my baby would cry anytime I put him in the crib for the nap. When I asked her how to accomplish this, she just repeated that he needed a nap in the crib. Other sleep trainers will be much more responsive, troubleshoot when things are going wrong, and shift the plan to adapt to your baby instead of constantly just repeating the plan that isn't working. As a client, I felt like we were an afterthought and not a priority. Unless we were scheduling night help which she helped with promptly (this was probably because we paid a ton of money when we used the night help). I reached out to Rachelle over a week ago to explain my concerns and have had zero response back. We had a few stops and starts due to illness, which is a normal thing to occur and each time we were starting from scratch because we hadn't actually given our baby any skills to put himself to sleep. After spending thousands of dollars with her, a response feels pretty necessary. I will say she did a good job of placing sleep trainers when we needed them. But having sleep trainers didn't really help us because as soon as we needed to take over our baby behaved completely differently (because, of course he does). Additionally, it didn't seem like she communicated what the sleep training plan was with the sleep trainers because every night they arrived, they asked me what they were supposed to be doing. There are definitely other sleep trainers in the area that will provide more support, respond in a timely manner, ad actually help your baby learn how to sleep not just how to not eat at night. I'm honestly in shock that we spent this much money and I am still sleep deprived. I would definitely not recommend using Rachelle.

However, Ana helped with scheduling a quick appointment, performed a thorough analysis of what was going on, and helped us take gradual steps that both improved the situation and lowered our stress. Edit: my original review was 5 stars, but I have changed it to 3 stars. The appointments themselves were great, but billing and follow-up has been frustrating. We asked for a bill at our first appointment since Ana does not bill insurance companies directly, and were told it would be provided. We didn't receive it, and asked again at our next appointment (a week later). After still not receiving for either appointment after another two weeks, we followed up again via e-mail...no response. We texted a week later...no response. So, it's now been four weeks since our first appointment and we haven't been provided a bill, and are now being ignored. I'd recommend going with a lactation consultant that works through the Lactation Network- which handles all of the direct billing for you.

I contacted Ana and set up an appointment through her website. She called me that morning ("This sounds like a 'today' problem, not a 'Friday' problem," she said) and I was lucky enough to see her later that day. Things improved immediately. Ana helped me learn to properly use a nipple shield to bring Baby back to breast and suggested I see my doctor about what could be mastitis (it was). She guided me on pumping and how to unclog my ducts and within the week I was feeling So Much Better. Night and day better. I saw many LCs at the hospital when Baby was first born and at different free support groups more recently, and I have to say no one has been as knowledgeable or directly helpful as Ana. She knows her stuff and she has been the only consultant who REALLY made a tangibly positive impact on my breastfeeding experience. I can't believe my baby is only a month old now and I'm so happy to say that the last few days we haven't used the shield at all! I'm able to feed my without pain and we are both thriving! Thank you, Ana!

I didn't think virtual only was going to help me build my milk supply and I kept asking for referrals until someone sent me to Shari. In the hospital, the lactation consultant told me that she didn't think I was ever going to be able to have enough supply for my baby. Sure enough, I was struggling so much with my milk supply that my baby lost too much weight in her first few days. I was told by my pediatrician to do triple feeding (breastfeed, then give a bottle, and then pump). I was only able to provide about 20% of my baby's food needs. Shari visited me promptly after I reached out. She came to my home (everyone wore masks) with her baby scale in tow. We figured out how much my baby weighed, how much milk she took in from a feed, and Shari observed the feeding and offered tips on positioning - both for breastfeeding as well as for the supplemental bottles. Within 4 weeks (3 total visits) with Shari, I was able to provide 100% of my baby's milk. Now I even have a frozen storage of excess milk! I am so grateful to Shari for her help and expertise. Without her, I honestly don't think I would have been able to breastfeed.
