Once again made an appointment to see the ever elusive Lucy. But, this time, I really didn't care…read moreif I saw her or not. The one I wanted to see is Jennifer. And, wouldn't you know it, making an appointment to see Lucy was to guarantee Jennifer would be waiting for me. Wouldn't you know it, I arrive and who is waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs? Jennifer. Due to the stiffness in my back and the tightness of my leg muscles, I had a real difficult time negotiating the stairs. As I was making my way down the stairs, I made a mental note to self to make sure Jennifer spent extra time on my calf, thigh and back muscles followed by some mild stretching to make sure my muscles were relaxed enough to climb back up those formidable stairs once the massage was over. Once Jennifer began, the tightness slowly ebbed as she worked out knot after knot until my entire body felt renewed and rejuvenated. For a while, I was going to make seeing Lucy my quest. But with Jennifer there I could care less if I ever see Lucy. This time around, Jennifer gets 5 stars.

The massage was so good, this spa could easily become a destination spa. Have to try and get back after 2/16. Very nice that they put a notification of their closure on their website, points for that, but they should have also left a message on their phone. Not everyone will think they have a website. Points off for that. And, they should know, that because of the exceptional massages customers are getting, they will all be returning. Live and learn, I'll be back.

On the Somerset Chamber of Commerce page it indicates that Central Therapy: "Central Therapy specializes in Memory Disorders, Chronic Pain, Work Injuries." "Central Therapy provides Spinal Decompression, Acupuncture, Microdermabrasion to it's customers." For sure my memory could use some help, but I'm not sure visiting a spa and getting a massage will help my memory. Maybe they have some memory exercises they do while massaging your scalp. Some of the other things they specialize in, I've never heard of. I think, at least for the intermediate term, I'll just get a massage. They are pretty good at that. I saw Sophia and she said she had worked here before and wondered if she saw me before. Nope, this was my first visit. She looks 30+ but told me she has some face work done in Korea (she's Chinese but said she goes to Korea for plastic surgery since they are so much better). They give you a wristband with your locker key and you have two lockers. One where you leave your shoes before you walk into the spa area and another where you leave your clothes. I was kind of nervous about the nudity thing in the bathhouse but honestly, it felt totally normal and everyone was completely respectful. At no point did I feel uncomfortable during my visit.
