Firstly, did not see on their site that eye exams are Tele-health - no real eye doctor on site. Not the best way to examine for eyes. Secondly, bifocal lenses are "crooked" - they are not the same spot on each lens. When looking through them, all you see is the blurred bifocal line - have to lower them on the nose in order to see through them properly. Thirdly, my mom's trifocal order - took 3 weeks for them to come in, but since the put the lens in at the shop, the lenses were not made correctly to fit the frames. The lenses are now being sent back to be remade to fit for the frame she chose. between 3 pairs of glasses - over $1100 in cost - would expect much better quality and service than this. Would not recommend this place for anyone to go for glasses. read more

Stanton Optical is MyEyeLab same company. If they are not in network of your insurance they don't bother letting you know until after the exam is complete. The "doctor" is not there but on a TV which you learn after 3 pre exam tests. I was told the exam was $129. About triple what my vision insurance card reads. Definitely do not recommend. read more

I DO NOT recommend Stanton Optical. I needed to get my eyes checked and gave Stanton Optical a try. I waited about 10 minutes to be helped even though I was the only customer in the store. Not a great first impression but it did not end there. The eye exam was virtual and felt very rushed. The letters that you read on the wall were crooked. I told the doctor this and she called for the assistant to adjust them. The assistant seemed annoyed that she was asked to adjust the letters and they were still crooked. When the doctor gave me my prescription, she suggested that I get glasses so I ordered 2 pairs. When I put them on, they felt blurry (blurrier than my normal vision with no glasses). The employee helping me said to wear them and over time my eyes would adjust. For the amount of money that I spent, I did not leave the store feeling too confident. I wore the glasses for 2 weeks and my vision was still blurry. I went back to tell them this and the manager spoke to me in a very condescending tone. She said "Well are you wearing them all day everyday?" (Yes, I was) Then, she said they were not able to get my prescription perfect and recommended I see a specialist. Why didn't they tell me this the day of my eye exam? Why did I waste my time and money on glasses for my vision to still be blurry? It felt shady to sell me glasses when they knew my prescription wasn't perfect. The manager rudely told me to just keep wearing the glasses and hopefully it would get better. Thankfully, I trusted my gut and I went to see another eye doctor where they were thorough, friendly, in-person, and gave me an entirely different prescription that was more accurate. Overall, I don't recommend Stanton Optical in Statesboro for their unreliable prescriptions, unfriendly staff, and high prices. read more

lazy snobs. I came in to ask for help adjusting my frame. they said that the arms on it, which were crooked, had no effect on how it fit my face. firstly, they didn't fit crooked on the bridge of my nose before I went in the store and had them adjusted. the woman adjusted them, fixed one issue, which was that one side stuck out further away from my cheek, and caused them to fit crooked on the bridge of my nose. they then told me that there was nothing they could do to fix that, and that buying them online was a risk that people take and sometimes have those issues. Even the people at Sunglass hut are more helpful than these women. As someone who has bought glasses several times over the years, I can tell when someone is competent and willing to help people. I'm sure they can sell you new pair of frames and lenses, but don't ask for their help if you have a problem with a frame and need an adjustment to fit your face. read more

I've been wearing glasses for a long time, and I have to say that this is the first time I've ever bought new glasses and had them be perfect right out of the box, with no issues and no need to adjust to them. The service was good, the people were wonderful, and I'm completely satisfied with the glasses. The price for two pairs of regular progressive glasses and the exam was $135 and that's pretty hard to beat. read more

Scam artists. My fiancé and I went to eye lab for an exam because of their promotion that they advertised for $59 for people with no insurance. They charged the $59 for my fiancé because she had insurance but for me I was charged $95. when I confronted the staff on the prices difference I was told that the promotion only applies to people with insurance. And the only reason that my fiancé got it was "we were being nice and we choose who the promotions are given to." which IS NOT what is promoted. after battling with them for weeks on a full refund because not to mention my prescription that was given was completely wrong. So we spent $150 on glasses we couldn't use. so Kristina, the location manager, promised a full refund. Days went by and nothing. My wife called Kristina and she was met with an attitude saying that she had already spoken to me this morning and the refund was being processed... funny thing was that Kristina has not contacted me all week... so she lied. I call Kristina to ask why she would lie to my wife and she immediately was apologetic due to the fact that I informed her I was recording the call. She promised yet again to get the refund processed. 1 week later, today. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I called customer service and they confirmed that no refund has been processed. So I call this morning and an employee answers. I ask for Kristina and then she took my name. I heard mumbling in the back ground and then was told that Kristina was with a client. And that she would call me later. I demanded to speak with her and told the employee that I would be disputing the charges with my bank and she laughed at me, told me it's "not that deep." And hung up. TERRIBLE STAFF and an even WORSE MANGER. Nothing but a bunch of thieves!!! PS!! the reason I know our prescriptions were wrong was the fact that we went to an actual optometrist. And was told that eye labs doctors aren't actual optometrists and that they follow an instructions list. For crying out loud the doctor talks to you through a zoom call. My doctor told me that 16 people have reported this location to the better business bureau for the same thing. I'll be the 17th. read more

CLIENTS BEWARE! After 3 appointments and 2 complete eye exams, my eyeglass prescription was still not correct. Having lost faith in this company to provide a correct prescription, I requested my money back. I did receive a partial refund. However, I was informed that the fee of $59 for the eye exam was not refundable. Upon making a call to My Eye Lab's main office, and objecting to my having to pay for an incorrect prescription, I contacted by the store manager in Statesboro and was asked to return to My Eye Lab for yet another consultation with the store manager. After trying on the exact same prescription glasses and (of course) having the exact same results, I again explained that I didn't feel that it was right to have to pay for an incorrect prescription. The manager assured me that she would make an attempt to persuade the company to refund the remaining $59 to me. It has been 2 weeks and I haven't seen the amount refunded nor have I heard a word from anyone at My Eye Lab regarding their decision. A wasted $60 to someone like me that is on SS and a tight budget (or, really for anyone at all) is nothing to 'shake a stick at'. Shame on you, My Eye Lab!! NEVER AGAIN will I step foot in this automated scam they call an eye lab. read more

After I got there, I was told that my insurance was not accepted and that they could just go ahead and see me anyways and they have "deals" I could use. I went to get new frames for my old lenses and came out with 2pairs and sunglasses for a great price! I would give no stars if possible. I had my first eye exam with myeyelab in Savannah 2020 and paid 300+ for new glasses and exam, less than 12 months later i needed another eye exam because i was having trouble seeing. This time i went to the statesboro location, again $100+ out of pocket because they did not take my insurance(which i wasnt told until later). Purchased glasses online this time. Again less than 6 months later horrible headaches and cant see. Seriously cant see, had to go back to old glasses from before stepping into a myeyelab. Had new eye exam at Ga eye institute and found out the glasses they had prescribed were inscredibly to strong. $100'S of dollars spent on eye exams, glasses and contacts that can not be worn due to being too strong. DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN EYE EXAM!! I should've known that things would go wrong when I called to schedule an appointment and he told me they could get me in that evening at 6:30, I showed up and they tell me they don't even take appointments after 6. I should have just left then and not rescheduled. I made the mistake of rescheduling for 9:30 the next morning. I get there that morning and the store manager that is checking me in is continuously on her phone. I finally get into my appointment and the telehealth optometrist did not ask me any questions and would not listen to me. I told her that I was unable to see through any of the lenses she was trying and she told me to close my eyes, blink a few times, then try again. Once the appointment was over and I was given my prescription, it was COMPLETELY different than my previous prescription which was still working for me but was expired and I needed a renewed prescription to order more contacts. They did not ask me what my current prescription was until AFTER I told them that the new prescription they gave me was not working. The store manager told me to give it a try and continued to try to get me to buy contacts in that prescription and said that "I could just exchange them if they change the prescription within 30 days as long as the boxes aren't open." Her other suggestion was for me to switch which eyes I put the contacts in, which was ridiculous seeing as they were drastically different prescriptions in each eye. When I called customer service for a refund after this terrible "eye-exam", if you can even call it that, they refused and said that eye exams are non-refundable but that they could offer me a "free recheck." After the terrible service and eye-exam I received the first time, I absolutely did not want to get a "free recheck" after getting the completely wrong prescription the first time and find it ridiculous that no one is "authorized" to give me a refund when they have given me this terrible service and I now have to pay a different eye doctor to give me the correct prescription. read more

I was told my glasses would be ready in one week's time because they were not a complicated prescription. The listed phone number for the store goes to an 800 number call center that is unable to provide any real updates. The order was delayed three times on their order status website with no explanation. The call center finally told me the third or fourth time I called that it was a shipping delay. I was then texted, emailed and called by the local store over three weeks later and told the order was sent to their Orlando store, they were trying to get the order back with no concrete plan or promise to overnight, retroactively compensate any of the order cost. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was told that's whom I'm speaking to, finally I was given the GM's first name after asking twice and will be following-up promptly Monday as this is NOT how you gain and keep customers; communication with customers is customer service 101, very disappointed. read more
