I would rate the service as excellent. After my exam I sat with the young lady to go over my options. I then selected my frames. I was asked about add on options for the lenses such as anti-glare, etc. I was also informed that I was in luck because my insurance covered the anti-glare. The young lady then gave me a price for everything. I paid the amount given. Then........3 months after my visit I receive a balance due notice.........which included anti-glare (Which I was told the insurance provider covered) and eye glass damage coverage, which was never discussed, never asked for and I have never purchased . Note: the insurance provider paid "My Eye Dr." 10 days after service. Now, 90 days after service I'm receiving a bill for these items. I have never been additionally billed. The Eye glass places I've previously used, including "My Eye Dr." have never sent an additional bill. In total, about $175 in additional billing for items not asked for and was specifically told, the insurance provider covered. Will never return to "My Eye Dr." read more

Customer service is very poor. I wasn't sure if I worked here or worked for them the way they treated us. They definitely need some training on basic customer service. Most importantly listen to the customer and what is being asked. Should be pretty easy. I would not recommend this location. read more

Just know the "promise" date is most likely not going to be met. Not sure why they "promise" it by a certain date if they have no one there has any idea when your glasses will actually arrive. Would not recommend if you're looking to get the item you purchased when you're expecting it. However, if it doesn't matter to you when your glasses show up and you don't mind having to wait at least an extra 2 weeks then this place should be fine. read more

Very poor customer service! Over a month to get a pair of glasses with no updates provided. On the promise date, they couldn't tell us when the glasses would be here. No one ever answers the phone at the Statesboro location, have to call corporate to talk to anyone and with that, they still couldn't provide an update. Would not recommend! read more

My wife Evelyn had her yearly appointment for her eyes . She needed new lenses an frames paid almost $300.00 for them an was told it would be two wks. She called them a day before they were due in an was told they will be in the next day . She called them the next day an no answer was given. We stopped in an was then told they had a problem with the frame will be in next wk . She called them the next wk an was told the same thing. She then told them she was canceling her order. Mind you we have been loyal customers with them when they where Pearl Vision an now to be treated this way is unexcusable. This office and its level of care is appalling. My son's glasses were originally ordered wrong because they did not include the bifocal on his prescription, they reordered them in May to include the RX but it is now September and my son still does not have his glasses. This is not the first time we have had issues with his glasses at the Statesboro location; infact everytime we order we have an issue. Due to his insurance this is the only place in our town we could order otherwise we would never come back. Everytime I enquire about his glasses there is a new story about why they are not completed. It is clear that my son and his vision means nothing to your company and I am deeply unsatisfied with the care we have recieved. My son is legally blind, wears a +8.00 with a bifocal and due to the negligence of your company and complete lack of competent employees continues to eecieve in adequate care. The Bifocal is to help strengthen the muscles in his eyes and improve his vision, this cannot happen with out his glasses. So in short My Eye Doctor has prevented his chances improvement. Does this company think it is a good business practice to leave a 4 year old in such a sad situation? The local office is no help and the ladies in optical are rude, cold, incompetent and have no place providing care to anyone. I want my my sons glasses and I want compensation for his suffering. I have paid for a product that I have never recieved and I am completely fed up with the poor standards of care the office provides. read more

First of all, my appointment took forever and there was a lot of waiting around. Second, I had a promise date for my classes (which had me waiting over a month for them) and the date finally arrived and I get no update on them. I call and they say that they don't have them and all they ever say is "it's still in process". They never answer the phone, and when they do, they aren't much use anyway. read more

I am extremely disappointed with this place. I am a returning customer at the Statesboro location. I booked an appointment here because my vision would randomly get blurry/ cloudy throughout the day. Before my appointment I received a confirmation phone call and I was told the only thing I would pay for is contacts which would be around $75 and the insurance would cover the rest. When I arrived the next day, I was told that I had a $95 co pay because my insurance only covered one eye exam a year and I had another one back in January. If I would have known that, I would've cancelled the eye appointment. Turns out the reason for my cloudy vision is because I have dry eye and my prescription never changed. I feel very played. $95 is a lot for a college student to afford and I recently found out GSU does $40 eye exams. The entire thing was a waste of time and money. read more

I've gone to what used to be Lord eye center in Statesboro,Ga. for 40 years and always showed up for my appointments with time to spare and have never ever have not showed up for one. But today after arriving 15 minutes early for my 11:15 I was told that my appointment was canceled, because I did not confirm my appointment. Now they say they did call me the day before and they could not get a hold of me so THEY went ahead and cancelled. Now I see they did call my home phone 3 times (350pm,450pm & 645pm) but the number had no identifier on it. With all the phone scams and sale calls we get, we have elected to not answer calls unless they show their name.I went down the road to Boomers and was able to get an appointment for tomorrow, all in the 15 minutes I had to spare. read more

I first attempted to get an appointment in November 2020 after my daughters got a hold of my glasses and broke them. My Information was taken down and I was told that someone else would call me back to schedule a eye exam with me. I never received a call back so on December 7th I call again and realized ( after the recorder said it) that I could book and appointment online so I hung up and proceeded to do so. I was going to have to wait an entire month but I was fine with that as long as I could get a eye appointment. I get a email yesterday that my appointment was canceled because it is "unavailable " days away from my actual appointment that's supposed to be on the 12th and you mean to tell me no one could have contacted me sooner ? I literally waited a whole month for nothing and trying to call back and reschedule is pointless because nobody answers the fuxking phone ! Just sat on the phone for 30mins just for the line to go dead and called back and waited another 20 minutes before I decided to give up. This is absolutely ridiculous and based off of this experience with just trying to get a dam appointment I don't even want to do business here at all.
