The first person I saw convinced me that I needed new hearing aides. She told me that the sound would be better. Sadly, that was not the case. I tried to schedule several re-checks, and I was put off. I then had to cancel a few times, too. Long story short, I still am not happy with the product they recommended. Frustrating to go in twice, pay the fee and be told that my aides were working "just fine". Finally, I convinced them to send the aids to the manufacturer, after the warranty had worn out. Even then, they kept telling me how expensive that would be, it was around 300 bucks. I am more frustrated that I was unable to schedule appointments without having to wait 2 months. I have had several challenges that were not addressed, nor was I even made aware of. The front office here are so very kind and welcoming. I just wish the actual service I received matched that.

I absolutely refused to cancel my appointment I made not 1, not 2, but 3 months in advance. I advised them I was going to their city for a specific event that was the very next day, so NO, I could not just reschedule!!! At the appointment I was given absolutely no information, no pricing, NOTHING!!! The representative that took me into the room after the hearing test, couldn't find a single thing to be helpful to being able to provide the slightest bit of information. It's now been 26 day's and I STILL have yet to hear ANYTHING from them. So I called them back a SECOND time and again got NOTHING, but was told, oh I'm sorry, the provider still hasn't come into the office.... So I call a THIRD time today and got spoken to pretty rudely by "Ellen" I had to repeat myself THREE times to her before she offered any help. Advised me the doctor is STILL not in the office TWENTY SIX day's later.... So I asked her what is next, what the plan of action is, and by the end of the call, she was laughing at me, and I even pointed it out that she just laughed at me... She told me that she would call first thing tomorrow morning, and I told her.... HM...we'll see... And I told her that if I don't hear from her, that she'll be she hearing from me. My experience with this company has been completely awful, it seems like the entire thing was a waste of my time, money, and gas. So far, this provider/company has been a complete joke in regards to treating patients with tinnitus, or having any kind of sympathy, empathy, patience, or understanding. I would give ZERO stars if I could!!! I would most definitely NOT recommend making an appointment with this provider, especially if you're from out of town or out of state and don't even live in the same city in which their office is located. If they get around to ever getting a hold of me and correcting all of their mistakes, then I may update this review. But after how I felt getting off the phone with them, I knew I couldn't just stay quiet and not say anything.... I mean, I don't want others to have to suffer such horrible customer service, and go out of their way, only to be left 100% completely disappointed. People with tinnitus are suffering every single day of their lives, and we are searching for help & answers, and I'd like to think compassion as well, of which I have found none at Columbia Basin Hearing.

My last visit, I asked to skip one service as my primary care provider had just performed that service the previous week. They did skip that service but I was charged for that service anyway- Was that part of the visit though it is itemized and charged individually? Now I am told that since the hearing aids are more than 5 years old, they can not continue to clean and check the hearing aids- they are too old- I must buy new hearing aids. They did say that they would "teach me to clean and check them myself". If I could learn to "clean and check them myself", why was I not taught this previously rather than requiring me to come in every 3-4 months for checks that were an out of pocket expense, not covered by insurance? I had asked if there was another solution and was told they had to to the checks. I question the ethics of not teaching folks to do things they could apparently do for themselves - is this to increase billing? I also question forcing folks to buy new equipment because of elapsed time rather than product performance- stated reason for forcing the purchase of new equipment "because of liability"

However, the salesman…read morewho discussed the results with us and my friend's needs, options, and prices altered from helpful and informative to cool and dismissive as soon as my friend made it clear that she could not immediately afford thousands of dollar's worth of product without time and consideration and budgeting. That left us feeling uncomfortable and certainly unwilling to pursue the idea. Not good business practice , especially considering there were no actual doctors on staff. Personally, I would not trust them.

This not only hurt because I thought I was getting my hearing back only to find out this company will lie to get you to buy hearing aids. How horrible to prey on people who can't hear and promises them they can help. I was so distraught for days. Why would anyone do that to someone with a impairment. By the way they refused to give me a copy of my hearing test!! I do not recommend this place.
