I try to always support local businesses and especially a woman owned business. I came to this practice from another area. The first person I saw convinced me that I needed new hearing aides. She told me that the sound would be better. Sadly, that was not the case. I tried to schedule several re-checks, and I was put off. I then had to cancel a few times, too. Long story short, I still am not happy with the product they recommended. Frustrating to go in twice, pay the fee and be told that my aides were working "just fine". Finally, I convinced them to send the aids to the manufacturer, after the warranty had worn out. Even then, they kept telling me how expensive that would be, it was around 300 bucks. I am more frustrated that I was unable to schedule appointments without having to wait 2 months. I have had several challenges that were not addressed, nor was I even made aware of. The front office here are so very kind and welcoming. I just wish the actual service I received matched that. read more

I drove 2 hours from out of town, and this office visit was a COMPLETE waste of my time. First off, I scheduled this appointment THREE months in advance, and they tried calling to cancel the appointment... I absolutely refused to cancel my appointment I made not 1, not 2, but 3 months in advance. I advised them I was going to their city for a specific event that was the very next day, so NO, I could not just reschedule!!! At the appointment I was given absolutely no information, no pricing, NOTHING!!! The representative that took me into the room after the hearing test, couldn't find a single thing to be helpful to being able to provide the slightest bit of information. It's now been 26 day's and I STILL have yet to hear ANYTHING from them. So I called them back a SECOND time and again got NOTHING, but was told, oh I'm sorry, the provider still hasn't come into the office.... So I call a THIRD time today and got spoken to pretty rudely by "Ellen" I had to repeat myself THREE times to her before she offered any help. Advised me the doctor is STILL not in the office TWENTY SIX day's later.... So I asked her what is next, what the plan of action is, and by the end of the call, she was laughing at me, and I even pointed it out that she just laughed at me... She told me that she would call first thing tomorrow morning, and I told her.... HM...we'll see... And I told her that if I don't hear from her, that she'll be she hearing from me. My experience with this company has been completely awful, it seems like the entire thing was a waste of my time, money, and gas. So far, this provider/company has been a complete joke in regards to treating patients with tinnitus, or having any kind of sympathy, empathy, patience, or understanding. I would give ZERO stars if I could!!! I would most definitely NOT recommend making an appointment with this provider, especially if you're from out of town or out of state and don't even live in the same city in which their office is located. If they get around to ever getting a hold of me and correcting all of their mistakes, then I may update this review. But after how I felt getting off the phone with them, I knew I couldn't just stay quiet and not say anything.... I mean, I don't want others to have to suffer such horrible customer service, and go out of their way, only to be left 100% completely disappointed. People with tinnitus are suffering every single day of their lives, and we are searching for help & answers, and I'd like to think compassion as well, of which I have found none at Columbia Basin Hearing. read more

My grandmother had an experience with the owner/doctor of Columbia Basin Hearing Center, where she was lied to. The doctor told my grandmother that her insurance would cover the cost of both hearing aids which amounted to $6,000. My grandmother told her that she thought they only would cover the cost of $3,000, but the doctor insisted they will cover $6,000 and even said "Isn't that awesome?" After this initial appointment, she mentioned this conversation to me and my mother. She was extremely happy her insurance was going to cover the cost since her and my grandfather have had other unexpected medical bills come up in recent months. My grandmother then spent an hour and 20 minutes in their office getting the new hearing aids programmed. Their audiologist proceeds to give her the statement saying she owed them an additional $3,000 since her insurance only covers $3,000 of the $6,000 cost. She told them the doctor told her that her insurance would cover the whole cost. The audiologist then proceeded to tell her, shame on you for not checking with your insurance and believing what the doctor had told you. My grandmother took the hearing aids off and left this place of business. She learned her lesson, but shame on that doctor for even making the comment not once but twice that her insurance will cover them without double checking what she is saying. Her or my grandfather will never step foot into a place of business who takes advantage of the elderly. Maybe she needs to be reminded who her clientele is! They are from a generation who believes in doctors and trust their words. Any doctor that lies to a client to get a sale should reconsider their job. read more

Hearing aid broke, made an appointment to get it fixed and have an updated hearing test and make any tweaks if necessary. Everyone was very polite and easy to work with. I took my hearing test and right after they fixed the hearing aid gave it back and tried to sell me on a service plan (business, I get it). I politely declined and they lost all interest in me as a patient, to the point I had to ask for my test results, nobody went over it with me, we never tested settings on the hearing aid or anything past the bare minimum. Again staff was nice but I won't be returning. read more

The Earlens Webinar this week was thorough, informative and enjoyable. Follow-up visit with Dr. Shannon answered all of our questions and the simulation of the hearing aid systems displayed the capabilities of the new system.
