This TD Insurance Auto Centre is located on the west side of Maingate between Eglinton and…read moreMatheson. While TD does have an insurance division and this location is part of that division what is primarily dealt with here is auto repair. This somewhat new business model takes away a lot of the "middle-man" I suppose in a sense that it's an all in one kind of brick and mortar. I was hit from behind in an accident that occurred on the highway at the end of July and because my car only had superficial damage I was able to continue to drive it. After I reported it to TD however they booked an inspection of the damage and for me to bring the car to this location (TD Insurance Auto Centre). After the relatively quick evaluation the next step after explaining to me what they'd do was to wait as they needed to order parts and schedule to have the work completed. The wait for the parts took about 3 weeks and when they contacted me to schedule for me to bring my car in, unfortunately I was going away for 2 weeks on vacation so we agreed that I wouldn't bring my car in until after my return. After returning from vacation I had a booking to bring in my vehicle for the repair work on a Monday morning. Based on the time they said they'd need the car was supposed to be ready by Wednesday but it took longer and I was able to pick up the car the following Monday instead. It wasn't really an inconvenience that they took a bit longer because they supplied a rental on site with Enterprise so returning a rental and picking up my car is all in the same place. This sort of facility makes things simple in a sense that it's my insurance company assessing the damage with an appraiser on site, the work is done on site and a rental is supplied on site. I'm not looking forward to another accident but if that happens I'll be prepared and already know how this place works which makes things simpler.
